Well Christmas is nearly upon us.
Sadly I wasn't able to get the wheels and tyres finished before Christmas so the update will have to wait until the New Year.
It's looking pretty good so far.

I would like to thank all those people who have given me help and support with the project so far.
I am looking forward to 2010 being the year of the Bellett, getting the car driving and on the road and then Coonabaraban for the Nationals (anyone know a date yet?)

Again Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone.

Cheers
Rob

Hey hey, an update before the new year.

Though they arent on the car yet, need hub rings to keep them centred properly and I'm waiting for the signwriter lady to make me some stickers for the centre caps - here are the wheels in alll their painted and polished glory. Damned hard work.
Many thanks to Paul for his time getting the tyres and doing multiple on and offs during the cleaning process.

Just got to work out what colour to paint the car now :D

V nice, mate! Yeah though, lots of grooves - but perseverence pays!
Could I suggest a COLOUR - as in not white or silver or light grey. Modern small cars have some good bright colours. And there is a great deep burgundy-purple on some H.S.V.s. Personally, I wouldn't be tempted by lime or orange - I remember some in the '70s and they just looked wrong!
Looking forward to seeing what ypu pick - keep the updates coming.
Cheers, Matt.

Well here she is ready to roll.
Wheels look awesome as does the ride height.
Will need to wait a little bit longer until I've moved house, then off for a good drive to shake the bugs out.

Thanks for all the positive comments, they make it worth all the time and effort.

I like. Wheels are choice!
But whats the story with the red one? Parts donor, or better? You make me curious with little peek!
Cheers, Matt.

The Red One ... I shall leave for the owner to comment.

Waiting for the weather here to cool down a bit.
Got a few things I'd like to get on with so need the temperature to go down a little.

Until later Rob

Rob,
Nice job. I particularly like the way the paint stays flat on that back door.Looking forward to the next "addition"

Oops, the paint is slightly out on the rear door, should have straighten the door first, stripe ended up 55mm inside of 50mm. Oh well, it will be better when I paint her properly.

Did a bit more painting as you will see below. Also got the 1000 wet and dry out as well. Patina is alive and well.

Cheers
Rob
