Very impressive build to date, Greg. Attention to detail second to none.
I'll be interested to hear how the KYB shocks and Fiat springs go - I've got the same shocks all round and seem to be OK.
Red springs contrasting yellow body... very sexy. Yellow/black/red scheme reminds me of RenaultSport stuff of late.
Paul.

ok Paul the shocks went in without any mods 8-) the springs are good too so far i put it on the ground sunday night to transport it to get a hood linning and carpets made. As i said the spings are 20 mm lower then stock rear but 2mm thicker i expected it to ride lower but in fact it is close to the maroon car in ride hight and sits level. I thought i may need to raise it a little but if anything now i hope it settles and drops a bit. I get it back in the morning i will take a pick.
As for the springs i should have gone king springs ;) yellow. not that anyone will look under there much :| but i know it's right ;).

Hi Greg,
Front or rear springs off of Fiat.? Or are they all the same.?

I reckon somebody will be looking under the car. There's a couple of pictures of blokes looking under cars on another thread. All Jap rally Brissy.?????

Can't wait to see it in the flesh.

Dave.

Dave i will put the pedders part number up. I just gave them the spring and ol mate went into the book :!: I had 2 choices 20mm lower and thicker or a little higher :?: i chose the lower ones as the commodore saddles could rectify height if needed. I asked what they fitted and he said fiat and i enquired why would they stock them :?: they are used to lower early holdens i.e fb. The seem to have a fair bit of give so i suppose i will have to drive it and see :D.

A bit further down the track. some ride heights the bum is up a little but it just came off a truck. These are not the wheels that it will be running. The hoodlinig was made yesterday and carpet the rest was done ages ago. As most of the other parts also the house is almost free of bellett parts .

Lewis i need to bleed the brakes and fit the front seats and dash i could :D I am waiting for the chrome too. But it needs rego and to be honest i am a little short on cash/and credit card for a few weeks or argh months  After the completion of two resto's this year. 2 new years resolutions out of the way a few to go :) a shed extension half done for completed projects the slab is down :D and Lizzies other wasp a fair nudge by the end of the year :?: Lizzie's race car needs engine to be fitted and i am still having issues with my new engine i will know next week how it will be . So don't expect to see them out to quick probably the yellow 1 first i want to take it to the nats so a couple of runs prior will be handy.

Yes we do Glen, bit different to you guys, we can use ours as mucn as we like, as long as we have some sort of proof that we are going to an event that is put on by an incorporated club, or can use for special occasion ie School fete or parade, and can be used for weddings or similar, but only for immediate family, can use it for road testing after repairs within 15k's of garage address, can drive it anywhere to have rerpaired or serviced, ther beauty of ours also is that we can attach personalised plates. so unless you check rego label, doesn't look any different to normal rego'd car.

thats how ours used to be up until early last year. Police had troubles with it as the cars did not come up in rego checks etc...

Ol yella report is if all goes to plan it will be on the road early august club rego is done i got the chrome back last week and it's in the final stages, I registered the blue one a couple of weeks back and that side tracked me as well as the race cars have needed attention as well as missyget it's engine refreshed so not a lot of visual action. But my sister asked fo a updated photo.

And WHY would'nt you do it again? Because you CAN man, and you just keep doing it and blowing us all away.

My wife says cars shouldn't be yellow, but I think these pics are changing her mind.

One of the first bellett sedans I saw, was in Port Pirie back in the late 80's. It was completely banana yellow, had very dark tinted windows, a little slammed and had black stockies on with tiny chrome dishes as hubcaps. Mmmm.....so coool 8-) 8-).
