Is there a touch of Gold pearl in that paint?
Usually a photo never does a paint job true justice but that colour looks sensational, like its glowing.

its lamborghini orange it has 8 layers of pearl through it..and yeah the photos dont do it justice its super bright, im kinda glad the bonnet is black or else i would nee to drive with super dark sunnies on all the time. it still has to be cut and polished yet so should be even shinier!

whoot whoo
Thats nice ;) You will not need 4 years to complete that. It will go together in no time. No rear side bumper bar bolts :?: it will dull down a little when the bits go back on. isabell had the red sedan that glowed in the dark is that bright but as bits went back on it was not so bad.

nah i welded them all up same with the lower sill chrome holes. just trying to keep it clean and smooth. and less chance of water getting in and rusting it somehow, cos after all the hard work and effort that ive put in the last thing i want to see is rust! but the chassis had not one spec of rust on it so hopefully it will last another 40 years

Post subject:  Re: waldo's gt type-r build

panatrol dont let it dry on the paint i glad wrap the sills when you do the doors ect. My maroon gt had a resto in 91 and resprayed a few years ago no rust ;) It drowned in fisholine stunk for months in 91
Patches has had the same bolt holes filled also i used double sided stickie tape on the sides. I put the sill strips on patches and scratched doing so  back to the panel shop .

i did the same thing drowned the thing in fish oil and por15 everywhere. i even drilled a hole in the chassis rails and just poured fish oil down them then welded the holes back up just to be sure! ;) as i have seen a few belletts with the rails rusting out down in the engine bay under the strut towers

No not from nz, pretty much every part has been personally imported over a 4 year period, which was expensive and time consuming to even find parts a few of the panels are even NOS from japan

Sounds like this will be a killer car.
Can't wait to see it.

Have you had the engine re-co'd or anything yet ? Be interested to know where you get gaskets and other parts for the DOHC.
5 speed also i guess.
