Hi Everyone,

I finally got the Bellett to fire up today, (so happy) it ran great so now its onto the paint work and interior.

There is a big leak coming from the carbie but that will be sorted in the next day or so.

So it lives again Yeah!!!

Thanks for everyone's comments and support especially Chris.

Hi Everyone,

Will a set of Sigma turbo wheels fit on my Bellett with standard brakes?
Thanks

Hi Jeff,
Yes and no.
I did run a set of those on a teardrop sedan back in the early 90's, but I did have to make some slight modifications to the rear wheel arch. They sit VERY flush on the front, but just rubbed on the rear.

I think you would have to be selective with tyre profiles and rim width. My only experience is a sedan that came with 14" standard Sigma rims and 185/65's fitted. They fit ok.
Try one on the back and if there is 2mm of clearance, they wont touch through the full arc. The inner guard profile matches the sidewall arc.
Cheers, Matt.

Farmer, depending on which model Sigma, the 14" wheel was either 5 inches wide (+25 or +28 offset ) or 5.5 inches (+25 offset ), the Turbo Sigma ran a 15 x 6 inch wheel (+24 offset ). I was running 195/50 r 15, which is the smallest commonly available tyre to fit that wheel. You can get 185/50r15 which may make a difference, but it would still be a close call.

Check with Glenn Percy, when I bought my GT from Glenn he had Stigma alloys fitted and they worked fine on the GT!
I fitted the Performance alloys as it is now, which are 13" X 6" and fit fine with NO modifications to the body or under guards.
I can not find the photo right now of the Stigma wheels fitted.

I have a set of scorpion rims too that I used to roll on (sitting up the back paddock now)

They were on the blue car I got from WA then put them on Donkey for a while as in pic en-route to my first Coona nationals.
Perfect fit and offset, ran 185/60/14 tyres on them.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your advice on the wheels but I have been flat on my back all week and looks like I will be out of action for at least another week which will mean I am not going to get the Bellett to the All Jap Day as there are some issues that need attention as the car has been sitting to long, and I'm going to run out of time.

I might get it there in its current state but don't think its worth it at this stage.

I will keep you informed on the progress.

Does anyone have the plastic cover that goes over the heater controls and radio housing in the centre of the dash. I am looking for one in better condition than the one in the car any leads would be great.

Thanks again and talk to you all soon.
