Phew! Far out mate...close call. I know a guy who left his Nissan Silvia in a museum that went bust, took him years to get it back and, by then, was missing seats and wheels! You can't pick it, just bad luck. I had to retrieve the whole interior for the Bond from a trimmer who did nothing for 2 years too.

Anyways, you're back on track now!

WOW Dave, don't know to say you were lucky or not!!! Has he damaged the items beyond repair?..... :(
Check with Lewis Bolton for your 1600 GT badges, he makes new ones, VERY reasonable. ;)
It is very hard to find a good plater, some simply will not do bumper bars any more and when you do find one, have plenty of cash ready!
I had the front bar on my GT done not long after I bought it as the chrome had worn through, expensive!! The end result is worth it however :)
All the best with your project Dave, if I could assist I would.
Dave.

Hey Davo,
I recommended to you a while ago to use

Gold Coast Electroplating
13/671 Pine Ridge Road, Biggera Waters QLD 4216
(07) 5594 6824

They do better work than the place you took your parts to and they photograph what you bring in so they can trace what parts have been dropped off.
I can't fault their nickel or chrome plating but some of the zinc plating they did in a hurry was a bit flaky....but it is all in the preparation by them that counts. ;)
Cheers,
Lewis.

Davo, close call for sure, I'm glad you were able to retrieve all your bits. I've had the same concern of things getting lost when dropping off to be chromed or powder coated.

Mark

Hi Davo.
How did you go on the chroming @ the place that Lewis had recomended.?
I'm looking at getting my bars and other parts done for the GT and sedan.

Dave.
