Bellett Sports 2000GTSS

This is the 2 door spare sports project.

The name 2000GTSS comes from:
2000GT (the standard GT Belletts are badged 1600GT)
S (sports model)
The second S (the spare sports that Glenn called it).
We were going to add a small "i" to indicate fuel injection but the name is long enough already.

Picked up from Victoria in Feburary 2016 from Glenn P

First step is stripping for sandblasting.

Edit:

The plan is to fit the G200W 2 litre twin cam motor and 5 speed gearbox in that Glenn supplied with the car. The motor is in surprisingly complete condition.

I have a Motec M4 with opened logging and lambda, and a LCD dash. The plan is to fit that as well. The gps will give me speedo and other usefull (and useless) info. But more importantly I will be able to select up to 4 different running program's for various conditions, such as;
Highway economy
Learner mode
Sports mode
400 metres
Methanol tune
Low grade fuel tune,
And any other you can really think of.

carefull with the tank, its the rare 46 litre one. (rare here that is)

I may have another surround for the lights if you cant find one in there. I never opened up a lot of the stuff in the car!

I've heard about that 46ltr tank from somewhere. It's got some nasty rust holes in it and the drain plug has been pushed up. But if it's rare it's fixable. I was going to junk it as I had been given another standard tank from Peter A.

Like you, I haven't dug thru everything yet but it is in one space. I'll ferret around once the shell is off to the sandblaster.

the 46 Litre tank sits below the bottom edge of the rear valance panel by about 40mm . Std tank is not visible when viewed from rear

Extra 6 litres is well worthwhile
