Just to continue the story of the ex-Bruce Ruston Wasp... sometimes you've gotta put these classics to work...

...even if the styleside is a little high for some people to reach...

Had to pull up some pavers in the front yard and also knock down a brick pillar. Smashed it all up, chucked it in the Wasp and the trailer!

The stuff in the trailer got moved about 10 metres; the stuff in the Wasp is still in there... in the shed... waiting for a break in the rain (that falls on a weekend as well) so it can be taken to the dump!

That's the great thing about the Ruston Wasp. It's original, but it's not afraid to get dirty and carry some stuff!!!

I still never drive it in the rain though. Or the heat!

Joseph has had a couple of rides in it around the block. He thinks it's cool (I hope... it'll be his problem one day!).

I had a leak in missy it took months to find I could hose the crap out of it,gerni it with no leak drive it in the rain and it dripped on my foot turned out the spray from the tyre was filling the conduit the wind pushed the water up into the dash then found its way to my foot :x

Hey Dave, working up a sweat there. Gotta keep that demon looking, red eyed, young Boss happy :P :P

I remember helping loading up that Ruston Wasp with a good f#@& tonne of pavers, then followed it around the sunny vales dragging it's arse, but doing it comfortably.....blimy :o

Yeah, leaks Mr O :( . The GT had been sitting idol for about 6 years, but the day I started it to move down to the big smoke, it absolutely bucketed rain. Brad, barley 11 years old was my copilot. It soon started trickling down the windscreen on the passenger side, behind the dash and ended up dripping on the floor pan. Of course one always has CHAMOIS on board  and Brad did the job well slurping it up as it was getting worse. But the jolly Beastie still aquaplaned us 270 kms down the road to the big smoke at 70 mph. Liz followed in the Magna with Jason on board, said it was hard to keep up. Don't you love these crazy numbers ;) 8-)

Got it fixed asap with a little extra silicone.

B. 8-)

Unlike your pristine items, old Bruce has.... uhhh, a patina shall we say, that doesn't lend itself well to moisture.

Namely, I don't have the money nor the skills to restore it (plus it's awesome as it is) so I tend to keep it out of harm's way, weather-wise!

A dry car is a happy car!

Bruce would absolutely love it too, mate. Made for work! Spirit of truck!

Shrek is settling into country life. Amazing the difference a fixed-up radiator, new thermostat & oil & filter change make. Ran into town last week, oil light stays off, temp needle stays midfield. :D
He had a job to do 'cause the Sube is busted (Tracy killed Skippy....), then next day, another load of wood from up the paddock. He's got layers like Shrek, but hes tough like Shrek!

Cheers mate,
Matt.

Good to see it getting put to use!

Ive moved house using only my LUV and often use it for dump runs and carting gear and parts to swap meets etc. Rain hail or shine it is my go to car. (Actually maybe not hail)
