I was wondering if there is going to be any "convoy" of Victorians going to the Nats in Merimbula?

I plan to leave on Friday 19th. If my Sport is ready, it will likely be trailered for this 1st long distance run with an untried car.

I would probably leave fairly early on the day as I don't plan to be doing 100kph towing a trailer. Somewhat slower.

what are others plans for the Nats ?

glenn

Glenn, it's a Thursday night outside school hols, so I reckon you'll find a bed easily enough.
I'll suggest you also post in the Nats thread.

I'm just bustin' to see that little rarity in whatever condition, even 'straight off the boat'! Yeah, and it will be good to meet you too! 8-)

Cheers, Matt. Travel safe.

here's the state of play as i know it....

plenty of BCCV members are going from all over the country, but from this neck of the woods:
Steve and Peggy, and my lil Be and myself leave by 7am Thurs.
we're going around the coast way, so we're passing u early Glenn and if u can join us you're more than welcome too.
same same if u can get over this way too Kerry and Ann Marie.
big Gav joins us in Lakes Entrance, but he's "Enfield-mounted" i believe....
Ken Reed and his son are going, but i know no more.
Jim and Cheryl will go over the mountains (i assume.... Gricey??)
haven't heard about Barry and Trish or Pete B and Josette.
Wal and Craig aren't going.
that's all i can think of at this stage.
i was hoping to hear from the Tassie lads about hooking up when they get off the boat, but haven't....

i'm trailer-ing, as is Steve.
i'm taking my GT at this stage, but that could be a last minute change if what i'm doing isn't done in time.... ;)

if you're stuck for accom on Thurs nite, u can crash in my cabin. there's plenty of room, coz it was originally booked for 6 people and now only 2 of us are going.
cheers.

P.s GLenn, you shall also need to get your dunnydore ute a little more motivated because we DO sit on 100-110 on highway where possible, but we shall have stretch legs stops at least every few hours though,Anyone welcome to join us if you wish

Don't worry, the Ute will easily pull it though with 350hp, 530nM although fuel 'economy' might suffer a bit ! I generally like to sit on 90-95 or so when towing a car. The trailer is single axle also and seems to ride quite hard. Will see how it goes anyway.
If the Sport looks like a good one on shakedown, might drive it anyway.
