not an official BCCV event but a few of us decided almost on the spur of the moment, to go to the Ballarat (about 120km west of melb.) Breakfast morning. Held from 7:30am to about 9:30 in Sovereign Hill car park which opens for tourists at 10am, hence the early start.

The car park was full of cars from a 1917 T Model Ford to a 2017 Corvette Z06 and a Tesla... I would guess about 200 all up, maybe more as cars were coming and going. You might notice the Sport is not there, long story.

Here's a few, more to come later.

Just a few of the many Holdens. I used to own a yellow SL/R Torana, just like that one. Yellow and all. An EJ Holden, EH, HK 307 Premier, FJ sedan and Ute, VK Calais, the list goes on. All pictured, brings back memories. The days when cars devalued fast. Look a prices for them now.

The Sport is not in the pictures.....why you may ask.

We just arrived in Ballarat and had to stop at some lights, the 1st on the trip almost....pulled up and BANG. The clutch pressure plate appears to have decided the end of the (its anyway) world is right now.

So, it sat parked about 5km from the car event. How to get it home? Well, the trip home, sadly, was on the back of a flat tow truck, cost $1000.00. I was so pe'd off I didn't bother taking a picture.

Luckily I happen to have top roadside assist for the State Auto club who footed the bill. So, it does pay, after about 27 years of having made no claims, to be a member!!

Thanks, to Barrie, Steve and Peggy for bringing home Milena and Ana.

Maybe the way of the future. I wonder how many of these types of cars will still be around in 40+ years?

Great set of photo's Glenn with a fantastic variety and level of quality of vehicles.
I LOVE that Fiat Abarth

Pitty about the Sport not making it to the party though. at least everyone made it back home safely in due course.

thanks
It could have been worse i guess. I could have been up in Mudgee....

so many cars and types, didn't take a pic of them all of course.

The Charger and Volvo P1800 were standout cars. Recent restos.

There were heaps of current Mustangs (and old ones) but this red one driven by a very young guy was interesting, a "SuperSnake. Huge rims and tyres, pumped out guards etc, don't know what the engine mods were.
This is going back, I used to own one of those Humbers too.

Hi Glenn ,
Shame the Sport didn’t quite make it.
What’s the story behind the Ford Capri wagon ? I used to have a Capri, until someone thought they wanted it more than me.
