Post subject:  Shannons Eastern Creek Classic.
The Isuzu Car of Australia has received an official invitation to the above event on August 22nd.
This is one of the largest gatherings of Classic Cars in NSW conducted by the Council of Motor Clubs. Every year held at the Eastern Creek Raceway and entries get to do a pace controlled lap of Eastern Creek Raceway, a very interesting circuit and day. The crowds that gather to look are not quite, but almost as large as NRMA Motorfest. The variety of cars is extensive, marques from all parts of the world.

Brett,
7th & 8th September are a Tuesday and a Wednesday, are you sure those dates are correct?? Doesn't sound right.
Do you mean August, the Muscle Car Masters are held on a weekend, the only weekend on those dates is August.
Unless my calendar is wrong!!
Delay until the 22nd and come along with us!!

yep.... whoops!
i meant 4 & 5 of september!!

the 7 & 8 i'm thinking of is august, when i'm racing at phillip island....!

wish i could delay dave, but another weekend away with cars, before coona that is, would see me put in a blender and used as the next tank of fuel!
will get up to one of your events one day tho.

we normally take a couple of cars, with the least being only 1 there in 2008.... until this year.
not taking any for 2010 :cry:
but will be there with the boys (and no doubt, will find the bar each night.............!), and should actually see a few things for a change, instead of just the engine bays and undersides of race cars all weekend while everyone enjoys the awesome sights and sounds on the track!

Yes Brett you would be made most welcome at ANY of our Events of Course as any Bellett owner would be!!!

Rod, that would be awesome, the more the merrier, love seeing the cars together.

HEY GUYS, HOW ABOUT A CONCERTED EFFORT TO GET TO JANUARY 2011 NRMA MOTORFEST???

This year we had 10 cars, it was great roll up, entries should open in October, I will lodege a thread as soon as I get my entry form mailed out!

I will be "spreading the word", very shortly to get Bellett Owners thinking 26th January 2011.
It would be sensational to beat last years count of 10 cars.

We can talk at Coona at the NATIONALS in October.

This weekend on Sunday Guys is the Eastern Creek Classic, we have 5 cars on show and no douta lot of lookers.
We will be in Section "D" just inside the gates near the grand stand entry. About 1030 they will be going around the track in a controlled drive.

OOOOhhhhh !! My jaw has dropped and the heart is racing. Didn't know us classics could have a day out a Eastern Creek. A great priviledge and another reason to be with ICCA. Is there a fee to get on the track for a lap ?

Not gonna happen this year though $$. Wait for retirement !!

Please get some footage of the day. Awsome

u should come over to phillip island in march then B......
over 500 classic race cars....... from all over the world.......
and more cars on display in the carpark along the front straight than u can see in a whole day. seriously.

and if u list your details with the organisers well before the event and go along in the 'classic cavalcade', u get a lap of the track too.......................... not at speed tho!

The lap is included in the Entry fee of $15-00 per car, now we are a member Club of Council of Motor Clubs, we will be invited every year, :lol: so come along and join us, next year I will be going I had to miss the Event this year due to other committments. :(

$15.00 :o , That's crazy !! March seems well worth aiming for. Sounds like a HUGE weekend anyway, and regardless of cost, a lap on any of the great Ozzie tracks (controlled or otherwise) amongst the classics........awsomundie...

dave, even tho u didn't get there, do u have any pics to show?

u wouldn't believe it either..................... 1 of my customers is a melbourne-based national company, with a sydney office (in parramatta).
i've been doing a heap of work for them of late on a national upgrade at all of their sites, and have been too and from sydney, brisbane, etc, a far bit over the last 6 months.
anyway, they contacted me today, and said "...... ohh, we need u to go to sydney again. sorry, we forgot that there's some changes to be carried out, and they should have been done late last week..................... so we'll have to arrange it ASAP. last friday would have been perfect, but it's a bit late now......................"
in other words, i could have flown up for work on friday, stayed over with some great friends in penrith and had a few frothy's, and headed out to eastern creek for sunday before going back to the airport sunday night.............

What rotten luck!!

I will see what photos I can get hold of and post them ASAP, 5 cars turned up, I.E. all the people that applied. Anyway I will see what I can do, catch ya later!!
