Gerry and I thought it would be good to drop into the Banyo show today (Brisbane) to see any unique cars we hadn't seen before and we did! :o

A sedate looking 63 Datsun ute with a performance engine in it
A pair of rare 71 Skyline GTX cars... one 2 door (took out peoples choice) and one 4 door. The owner had just taken delivery of the ex S.A. 4 door GTX yesterday.
A very original RX2 GS2
Even A LHD orange Capella from USA

cont'd on next post.......

A neatly restored 1980 Datsun Sunny. So those were some of the unique cars there. There were of course a good range of Datsun 510's, other mazda RX2's RX3's, a rotaried corolla, 12A rotaried van, 5 Toyota Soarers, The matt black Toyota Tiara etc.

I was extremely surprised at the end of the event to receive the "Traders Choice award". Wow :D
Happy Days

Lewis

Damn! I missed it. Forgot it was on this weekend.
I passed the LHD RX2 at Milton this morning on my way home from Ipswich. Very nice car.

Gerry Lewis, go's to all Jap Day in Brisbane.

Weather has been very wet up this end of the country lately,
So was not sure if it would be on, got a text from Lewis blue sky
In Brisbane, event on. So we set off in the rain and soon hit the fine weather
Joined Lewis at the usual spot off the M1, always good to travel with another Bellett
Going over the Gateway bridge we came across two VW Beetles travelling together,
Would have made a great photo the, Japs and Germans heading north side of Brisbane.

As we arrived early we got to see all the cars arrive, spent the next few hours
checking out other’s pride and joy, some great looking cars.

Lesley my better half commented, only two Belletts this outing. Mind you the
Belletts got plenty of lookers and photo’s .

While having a bite to eat and a Bellett chat not listening to announcements,
we find out the Mazda club are looking for Lewis for trophy presentation,
Well Done Lewis. ,Had a good trip back down till we hit home,
60mm of rain in half an hour, here’s a few more photo’s .

Gerry

Great work Lewis. Love the Skylines, haven't seen any of those before. And the rising sun air-cleaner cover, like it a lot!
Good to see a great Japanese line-up. And with the best of all - 2 GT's.
Thanks, Matt.
