This is more of a deciphering than translation. Do not make travel plans based on this, I can not swear by the accuracy.

The Bellett Owners Club Japan will have a meeting to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the club at Fuji Speedway on October 24th and 25th.

Shigeki Asaoka (Isuzu Works factory driver) will be attending.

Saturday evening will be a reception. Cost is 14,000 Yen.

Sunday will be a one hour track "driving experience" (probably more a leisurely drive than a hot lap session). Cost is 5,000 Yen (my mistake, not 4,000).

JT191, Although at the bottom of B'net, really should be at the top. Well out of reach of little ol'moi, but a must for any Bellettier who can afford it. Now, how many Ozie dollars is 18,000 Yen, for a ripp'n good time in the home country ??!

My math mistake, or updated information, both days total 19,000 Yen. I think that's 240 Australian dollars or about $200 US.

Without a car, they might not charge to watch the track day portion, or it might be a lot less. But the bigger cost is that dinner, which I would hope would be a lot of food for that kind of cost.

The airline tickets would be a killer. Maybe much less from Australia than the US.

I don't have any more information than already posted, but assume this is taking place in and around Shizuoka, possibly Shimizu City, or closer to the speedway.
That's sort of (in)conveniently located halfway between Chuubu/Centrair and Narita airports, probably closer to Narita and Tokyo. A two way train ticket might be less than a rail pass, those usually pay for themselves on the third usage.

That's alot of explicite info, JT. The yen conversion is certainly worth it. Maybe, one could be fortunate enough to take a passenger ride for the track cost. Again, Very envious of anyone who can make it over there !

Thanks for getting the details up,

I ran across a blog entry from another source on this topic. it's difficult to tell if this other person is going to attend the event, or just mentioning it. The comment was that there will be more than 50 cars participating in the track portion of the event.

A few little blog comments showing up now that the event is over.

They seem to have enjoyed the banquet, but there was rain for the track event at Fuji. They comment that shallow tread tires on the wet track was slippery, and because of this they were driving around the track slowly.

They don't seem to be a group for posting photos or video.

I found some photos.

Look carefully, that's two different fastbacks.

The text said there were 50 cars, separated into two run groups for the track event at Fuji. There is some comment that this was the largest gathering since the Isuzu World Meet at Fuji in 2000. The pictures appear to be from the track entry lot with KRS across the street in the background. I read KRS moved last year, but that is the same building and still has the KRS sign...

What a great collection of Isuzu's together. Thanks for digging up the pic's JT, they were worth the wait and show that the Isuzu classics are still going strong in Japan!

Good to see that there is a Fastback in there too. :D

Has anyone else come across any photo's from this event?

Cheers,
R.

Ditto, many thanks J.T. So good seeing the little cars gathered together. Quite a few sedans, too. I was under the impression a few years ago that they had none left. good to see some have surfaced, or have been back-imported. Very nice. :D
Cheers, Matt.
