a red isuzu toolkit is original. also had 2 orange wheel stops in black plastic covers and may even have the Red electrical tape. you have a complete original toolkit. Extremely rare.
good job there. scans came up great.

got it running tonight, swiped the battery out of the bellett, checked all the fluid levels, put 10 litres of fuel in the tank, pulled the choke out and after cranking for a few seconds it roared into life! settled down quite quickly to a nice discreet idle! nice to know its that easy to start after 4 years!

done a little work to the beast, had the radiator cleaned out as it looked chock full of stuff (not coolant type of tuff anyway!) turns out the previous owner had put a custom 3 core unit in it! got a new thermostat housing, again not origional but it will do! new radiator cap and trying to get some new hoses to suit so the cooling system is up to scratch.
had her running the other day and noticed a puddle of water (?) under it, i looked a bit further and found the carby was leaking a steady flow of fuel out and straight down onto the exhaust! lucky i checked now! luckily for me the local auto parts store had a carbi rebuild kit on the shelf so i will rebuild my other florian carby i have and see how i go!
still trying to talk mum into crocheting front and rear seat covers for the car but no win yet!
also sorted out one complete set of decent hubcaps for now too.

Nice to see you into it mate. I reckon it would be a real pleasure doing those few little fix-up jobs on a car as good as that. :D
Looks a little grotty under the bonnet - I guess you've attended to that detail already? Or, yeah, the important stuff - don't want too much fuel on the exhaust manifold!
Watching with increased interest! ;)
Cheers & keep showing!
Matt.

I love the fact you posted them in reverse so only a dedicated Isuzu fanatic would copy them or print so they could read them the proper way round, adds to the mystery.

Cheers

Sounds like the 3 core radiator is an early Chevy Luv unit (standard for these and a easiliy attainable).
Congrats on the Floza; excepting the weird bracket under the horn and the GT40 coil, looks very original. Whats the interior like? Did you get much in the way of spares (aside from the hubcaps)?
The hubcaps can be cleaned up relatively well no matter what condition as they are made from stainless steel; Talk to any metal spinner if needed...

denny i already had a few parts as i stripped a florian about a year ago as it was well past saving, yeah my radiator guys first guess was chev luv! the weird bracket is now gone and i will look at getting some more origional looking coil at as i go. Interior is pretty good, the dash has a couple of tiny cracks, and the drivers side carpet is a bit worn but otherwise its a ripper! managed to make a full set of good hubcaps out of the 4 that came with the car and the few i had stashed in the shed! the hubcaps came up well with just a good scrub!

its getting there, engine bay is a lot cleaner than it was, have found something that is helping get the stains out of the paint in there! still got a bit of work to do on the outside as you can see on the front of it!
but i love going out and sitting in it, making the odd broom broom noise!
