Hey Dave, best part of the Gold Coast is the view in the rear view mirror, and apart from Davo and Lewis, the best thing coming out of the Gold Coast is the Pacific Hwy.

I agree with you , Dave. We went to Hay and Griffith at Easter for a week - camped on lakes ,rivers and creeks. All good. Nice weather. Too cool on the coast now - we are just back from servicing for a car rally at Bairnsdale last Saturday and a couple of days at Wilsons Prom. Will travel inland now over the winter.

Keep enjoying it all..........

Nice spot there Dave.
Been there a few times for a spot of fishing and my first attempts at water skiing with some mates that are locals in Inverell.
Geoff's 100% spot on with the bush TV, give me that and the stars to watch any day of the week. Now that's living!

In Brisbane right now and not a bad spot, Pine Rivers Showground in Lawnton.
Nothing as yet that could get even close to Copeton Dam!!
Some how Max has flicked off the RHS front wheel centre, I have ordered one and now have to wait for it to arrive!!!!
All good otherwise!!
Dave.

Dave mate your literally only 10mins down the road from my place. I'm in Kallangur (next suburb north)
How long are you staying at show grounds?
I'll come down for a cuppa in the morning if your hanging around a couple of days.

Stickman,
Just got back from my sister inlaws.
We are here until Tuesday morning, tomorrow about 1000 am going to see an ex Army mate, ex Vietnam and his family at Stafford, otherwise unless we go to the shops we will be here until Tuesday morning, not rushing away Tuesday as I have to call in at Maroochydore.

Hi Guys and Gals, here we are in the middle of QLD, in 26 degrees and brillaint sunshine with bright moonlight at night.
The QLD roads up here, in one word "SUCK", if you have ever taken tinny over a beach with surf rolling in?? that is what the roads are like up here!! Not happy, however Max is handling as expected, very well.

Last Monday night I had the pleasure of having dinner with the Isuzu Ute Australia Marketing Manager in Brisbane, a really fellow and we had a good night, one on one!
I wil explain the photos.
1. Brothers in D Max's.
2. Leaving Tenterfield.
3. Free camping behind blue metal near Emerald QLD.
We are having great time so far!!
Dave.

Hey Dave good to hear your still rolling along on our impressively well maintained QLD roads
That's why we QLD's are so happy to drive to the other side of the country for nationals meets (finally get to drive on half decent roads)
It was good to catch up the other day on your stop over at the 'sunny' Lawnton show grounds even if it was only a very brief visit.
Stay safe mate and keep Max out of our potholes

Hi All,
I don't think I mentioned previously, I had dinner with the National Marketing Manager of Isuzu Ute AUST when passing through Brisbane.
Since then it has been announced the D MAX has again won more awards as the best 4X4 Ute, both Internationally and in Australia.
I have had ours 20,000 klms service done in Broome, very nice people and a job done well.

It is hard to believe unless you see for yourself the colour of the soil over here, it is almost blood red, pity it does not show the true colour in photos or video.
Photos, not necessarily in order of our trip so far, we have passed through some really beautiful Country that we had not seen before.

Trusting you are all continuing with your projects for the National.
Dave M.

1. At the junction for Derby and Broome
2. Crossing the WA Border
3. The largest Boab tree we have seen!
4. Leaving Kununurra WA
5. Mr. Ugley inside a diver's Helmet in Broome
6. Sunset over the Ocean at Cable Beach, Broome WA

Rod,
It is an ISUZU, you should know they don't wear out
We are having a ball Rod, tomorrow we are going on a tour to Cape Leveque, another very remote region, we will be away all day and it should be very good.
On Tuesday night we are going down to the beach to look at what is known as "Staircase to the Moon", a visual effect created when the full moon rises over the ocean just after dark and forms whe looks like stairs due to the waves in the water, I will be taking photos and will post them when we return.
Catch you later'

Well Guys and Gals, due to 2 cloudy days on the days Staircase to the moon was to occur we did not get to see it!! BUGGER
You will have to see the replacement, some call it Staircase to the sun, just as the sun disappears below the sea level horizon.

At Karratha now, slowly making our way south, don't want to get there toooo soon, bloody cold!!lol.

Now that is camping! I'm not sure you can find many place in the US with no one that close (at least not in the eastern US).
