Hey there,
Great photos of your project there :)
But you need to resize your photo sizes down to about 500kb first before posting them on the forum

Thanks in advance

Lewis

Am still plugging away doing a lot of the minor bits(but importatant) like getting all the brake cylinders working along with the clutch. Looks like I have located a GL201 motor in Perth, just waiting for another person to verify it. Lots of sanding and rust proofing at the moment, very unglamorous. Have tried downsizing photos but with no success(keep trying). Am looking to see what colour scheme I will go with, am leaning towards old Burns Bros. Timber Products where my father drove trucks or a wild Reggae paint job, just for fun. Carb rebuilt and a service on motor has it running, idling and breathing nicely. Getting there slowly.

if all else fails, to make pics smaller, right click on them in your hard drive location and then send them to yourself using email. (for multiple pics, hold down the Ctrl key and click on each one you want) Windows will ask if you want to reduce the size. Say yes. Then when you receive them back, they are smaller and you can use them to post............save them from the email of course, into a new location on your hard drive.

Looks like you are really getting cracking and doing some great work. Looking forward to further updates.

By the way the big pics look great on my big computer monitor ;)

No new pics at the moment, pieces everywhere and in all states of assembly. In the process of moving the whole project indoors.
Have located an original series diesel motor in excellent going order (zero cost), I just had to arrange transport (two cartons). Lots of fiddly bits and pieces to recondition. Have settled on colour scheme and sign writing. All will be revealed. Will post some pictures in the next few weeks.
Work keeps interfering.

Yeah, great work! Diesel power!
Sorry that I haven't managed to arrange a visit yet, days are too short and too few.
Sounds like great progress though, it will be great to see.
Cheers, Matt.

Have not been in a position to post anything lately. Put " The Beast" in dry storage with good intentions, but life being what it is things have not worked out that way. Now due to health reasons I have come to a grinding halt and so has the project.
Not looking for your sympathy or help but am looking for someone prepared to take "The Beast" and do something with it.
I have about ten days to get something sorted, so am open to all offers.
I can get it put back in to one piece to be moved on a car trailer.
All ideas or offers will be considered.

Thank you

Thanks guys.
See this face - :D - this is my face!
How good is this? Last time I was in an Elf, I reckon I was about 10. It seemed a pretty big thing, but then, I was small.
Brother Greg rang last night and said, "You know its not much bigger than a Wasp?" Looking at Dave's brochures, I see that the wheelbase is 2 inches shorter, and the cab is just 6 inches wider, so I will probably be surprised.

And how did Tracy take the news? At first she said "You don't need another car!" :| Probably true, but this is a truck.....
Anyway, next morning she announces to the kids, " Dad's got another birthday present!" How good is the timing?! 55 on Saturday, and the celebration has extended! ;)

I'll keep updates coming once the beast is here in the yard.
I'm very grateful for this opportunity,
Cheers, Matt. :) :D
