I was told by a very ex wife of mine that I couldn't have any more cars....
So I bought a motorbike.
Then I was told I couldn't bring any parts inside to restore them.... So I didn't.... Till she up and left, then I brought the WHOLE bike inside.
She came round a few weeks later to get something and flipped when see saw it in the dining room, exclaiming that she said no bikes inside....
I informed her that she didn't live there anymore!

Good on ya Matty! Would have luvved the Elf here too, but got enuf things going on and nowhere to store it atm too.
Hopefully that changes soon tho.... ;) ;)

Some wives need training ;) My bellett collecting days as I have said has slowed down, I have a interest in a hot rod but I want to buy not build as someone I have to answer to while building and then have to put up with a qld government employee to spend his waste of life telling me why I cant register it. Is somewhere we don't need to go ;) I took a truck for a machinery once and told the guy the only reason he was a inspector was that he was a failed mechanic and the government would be the only people that would employ him :D That upset him hence why liz will not allow me to take trucks for machinery.
Back to the story. I mentioned the galant thing to Liz and there seemed to be a little silence she owned one in her younger day too and we both share a soft spot :?: there was no answer I did expect a quick no or what about the hot rod you cant have both :) but she ignored me and kept tapping her keyboard  maybe she chose not to listen :?: I will mention it again later  about 5 minutes pass and I got my reply here goes ...... [quote Flights from Brissie to Adelaide are $105 each 1 way 10kg luggage and is it registered :?: unquote] It's registered [quote well we can't go till late next week. unquote]
Talk about me taking all the responsibility now I have to decide myself and that's not fair at least if they say NO then you no longer have to think about it.

Thanks Kerry, and everyone else too. How good is this? A few years back, a chance find by Gary Carter led you to the only known Prince Super Clipper. Now Geoff has found the only known '60's Elf, the Prince's direct competition! And a chance find too, being taken to the propety to help a mate load scrap. I'm amazed that for 7 years I lived within coo-ee of it and noone I knew ever mentioned it to me.

I'm sorry that the state of Elfovernighter's health is how I have become the new custodian of the Elf, and wish him a complete recovery. What a great bloke! And he has an even longer and similarly coloured beard to mine!
He has made a great start, and has documented and photographed every job. He handed on these records, as well as a very rare item he managed to source - an Elf WORKSHOP MANUAL!! How good is that?!!
You think I'm excited?? I'm excited!! :D :!:

I feel a great sense of responsibility here.

Cheers, Matt.

Well dear me, that last post is a year ago! Where does the time go??
But birthday time this yeay and Tracy says, "What if I get the Elf seats reupholstered for you?"
Later that day the seats were out and in the back of the sube to go to Yass. But when trying to choose a colour, Eddie says I should pick the cab colour first......which makes perfect sense. But what colour?
Milli says a shade of purple, Tracy thinks a bright mid blue, Rhys and I dont know.
Should I be a total purist and use the original colour! It is the only one around. But that is a light grey :| Doris is off white grey, and Aunty Mary is grey grey.
Its not a fire engine, so probably not bright red, not a 300c, so not black,........and no silver shades of grey.
So far I'm thinking light,...... theres a spearmint on a suzuki or something.... I dont know.

What colour would you paint it??
Please post suggestions!
Cheers, Matt.

Bright pink with fluro green strips and matching wheels. If the purists don't like it they can paint it whatever colour they want when they get their own.
