Can anybody reccomend what pressure high volume fuel pump I should be running. I apparently have a ZZR block with a head from a later model engine. That is the green twin cam tear drop that migrated from Melbourne to Adelaide.

I used VL commodore efi pump on my twin cam...... be aware these types of pumps fail almost instantly if no fuel fuel

Vl high pressure pump is what i run to,i didnt run a swirl pot on Russel's car either it just gravity feeds and has worked fine. I ran these pumps on a couple of supercharged v6 pajero's they both ran out of puff Around the 200hp on the dyno. Due to fuel pressure and injectors the injectors were upgraded on 1 car and it was a big improvment but the pump could not keep up. These pumps are more than enough and available if needed at most outlets if you need 1 due to a failure. Russels car did fail 1 when it was 1st on the road but has done many ks since.

I used the VL pressure pump Bosch 070 pump should be sufficient or if high horse power with turbo use an Bosch 044 pump. the other alternative is a Walbro I thinks its called is also a very good pump and you can find this out quite easily on the net.

My LS1 powered EJ has both the 070 as a suck pump for the surge tank and an 044 for the main pressure pump but that for a V8.

I hope that helps?

When i did my EFI GT way, way back, i only used the one pump also. I fitted it up behind the rh rear wheel area, adjacent to the tank, low down. Make sure you use rubber mounts also. I fitted a return line into the tank for the fuel but don't recall now where i fitted that. Somewhere above the outlet pipe i think near top of the tank.
