Saw the post and thought I,d put a rediculous bid in of $55.50, that will fix everyone. So I go to ebay, type in isuzu wasp, "WHAT THE $159"

Post subject:  Re: WASP HANDBOOK ON EBAY

depends on what people want to pay tho.
some would pay that for something that rare (and we ALL know how rare it is!!), but some wouldn't even think about it again if it went over $20.
i've been pushed on brochures in the past by collectors of weird and wonderful stuff from the car world, and some i've won and some i've lost. u'd be amazed at what some people collect tho.... not just brochures, but glovebox books, workshop manuals, old car magazines.... and then there's the parts collectors.... i even know a guy who collects old engines, cleans them up, paints them, and displays them in various rooms around his house!!!
i remember a bidding war over a GT brochure... it went for near enuf to $100. i lost, but when i reviewed some of the buyer previous purchases, it was all car brochures of everything imaginable. they looked very much like a collector or even a dealer in these things to me, not an Isuzu enthusiast....
anyway, as long as someone from bellett.net got it, then all is good!

i was thinking that too!
he would have looked last nite with it at $50 or whatever it was, and now.... $242!!

half his luck tho. just wish a Wasp itself could get a bidding frenzy like that!

While the iron is hot Brett, why don't you put your wasp up on ebay, and see if there is a bidding frenzy.lol

tempting Geoff... very tempting...
whoever bought the glovebox book might now want a car to match it, so maybe i'll start the bidding at......
hmmmmmm......
$50,000.
i reckon that's a fair price considering!!
     and if only!!

Maybe start a rumor that Farmer Matt may have bought the book, because he was bidding on a Glove Box LOCK the other day, may have bought that lock to protect his new book

I like your logic Geoff. Thing is, I was away for a week & have been busy as since we got home, so I didn't even SEE it!
Would be a nice pick up, but $242? Out of my reach!

Wonder if the broth has one - he did buy a Wasp new. Probably not, he's so honest he probably left it in the box when he sold the ute.

Nice to at least have the lock.
Cheers, Matt.

dragging up and old thread here...
did we work out who got this glovebox book? seem to remember it was for the late model Wasp that we never got here in Aus tho.
reason i ask is that did anyone see, bid on or more importantly buy the one that was on eBay earlier this week? it was definitly for an Aus delivered, early model Wasp too. in 20 years of owning my Wasp's, i've never seen one b4, so it's VERY rare.
bidding went CRAZY from what i saw, so someone knew exactly what is was and wanted it pretty bad...

Looked like a genuine workshop manual for a dealer workshop......light green cover about A4 size.......was under Isuzu Wasp, meant to ask Lizzy if she was on to it, but all got to busy with them going Japan.
