Hi All,

Anyone know if the Wasps had a compliance plate or where I may find a chassis number on my Wasp?

Heya Robot,

The Wasp has a chassis number stamped on the chassis crossmember located approximately under where the passenger would sit.

I had to attack mine with a wire brush for several minutes to get mine to show up, and mine actually isn't that bad underneath!

They also have a little build plate in the engine bay on the side; can't remember if it's on the driver's or passenger side!

They don't really have much useful info printed there; just the engine and chassis # from memory, as for build date, who knows?!?!

The Wasps were all imported in 1965 I've been told, so it's probably a 1965! FYI there were only 122 of them sold here, so they're a rare beast!

Welcome to the forum!

Cheers,

Dave
