We recieved a sms today to confirm coona 2011 22,23,24 oct.

We are considering leaving on the tuesday before and taking a scenic drive down ie stanthorpe [wine and cheese samples] then onto texas motel for a top feed [drink wine eat the cheese] then onto inverell car museum and a few other goodies. This was a club trip ran last year so from here on would need to be organized :?:. All secondry roads so we can take our time. If anyone is interested in a extended qld crooooze let us know?

rod, as discussed at the dinner last year, the Bloor's are running the event in 2011.

as we know tho, Ken sadly passed away in december, so Carol is now heading the event on her own, but she has a willing band of helpers to make sure all goes well.
personally, i think she needs the thanks and support of us all to make the nats as great as it can be, because trust me from experience, it ain't an easy thing to do, especially on your own, and it's only got bigger and better since my days of running it, so the work load will be enormous....

and there are a few new things for the 2011 nats that will be a treat in themselves too, so like every other year, it just gets better and better!

cheers.

A little update from reverand Bloor
People attending need to come up with a name/theme for their room and make a sign to be fitted to the door of their room. (instructions are that it needs to be in good taste)
Put on those thinking caps

We are very grateful to Carol for continueing on with the organising - We can well imagine just how much is involved.
Thanks too Greg, for keeping us updated in this thread.

Looks like the Adelaide fellas have started something. Hmmmm, room theme..............Hmmmm.

Nats 2011 now closer than nats 2010. Good good good!

Ahhh, gotcha! And I thought it was a self-assesment! Still, fair I suppose!
Dunno what ours will be called - Right now it would probably be "The Poor House"!
All good fun!
Looking forward,
Matt.

had a long chat about all things nationals, and life in general with reverend bloor this evening....
all coming along well for the 2011 event, and u'll be hearing from her and her organising "help" very soon.
i know this line gets thrown around alot, but truly this year will be the best yet and is not to be missed.

please remember tho.... the organisers are arranging the meals, activities, show 'n' shine, "entertainment....", etc, but the ownus is on YOU to arrange YOUR OWN accomodation for the event, as it was last year too.
so the responsibility falls at your own feet if u miss out.

stay tuned!
