Hey guys,

OldColts founder Craig has always taken an interest in Belletts because as many of you know, the original Colts and the Belletts were sold side-by-side in the 1960s.

Well, Craig was rollin thru Murray Bridge when he spotted this machine. He asked me if I knew the car, but unlike basically every Bellett that is still running in SA, I actually didn't know the car!!!

It's a Roman Red..ish teardrop sedan running these freaky wire wheels!!! I know of a Bellett near Murray Bridge... but this ain't it.

Enjoy!

It's the bribie car we named him Bruce after the guy we got him from or nanna's scare. Bruce has his fair share of battle scares but all round he is pretty tidy. the front drivers door has bog cracks and a door line the looks like surf wave  but if i tidy him up not to hard to replace. the lh front guard got a rust repair done about 10 years ago and never painted. I think Lizzies daughters husband is going to airbrush a big rust hole there . It was a auto but now has a gt gearbox with a remote shifter and a gt console next. interior is perfect no dash cracks ect but the front seats let you slowly sink to the floor pan . I regoed him on friday on full rego and will slowly muck around with him ;) at this stage he gets a little hotter than he should so we are a a cross road on what happens to him. He either gets a gt head and carbs that i have here on his block :?: or he recieves something that will be a little quicker  i will make that decission when we get home from shitney. The wheels are off a hyundai that we towed from a smash fitted nice and cheap free.

exel wheels the car was on four flat perrished tyres and the car was hundi was on it's way for scrap so i tried them so the car was moveable. Over time we got used to them. No real trouble rego it i took the paper work in with out the car which was no problem but when i did the paperwork i put the old rego number down as the car was a 1 owner log books news paper add from 66 still in the glove box. The problem with transport was it did not match they needed to see the car :?: it turned out that something was different but they confirmed they believe it ws the same car as it was a minor change probably a typo.
yeah it is a clean little bugger i will tinker with it over time. I have done a few full on resto's in the past years and not ready to take anything on. But while that happens we will drive him around the marroon gt is on full rego but going club and all the others are on club. It's nice to have one you can just go for a drive.
I have 2 possible projects when i am ready i may take on the black sedan on or if/when Lizzie takes the plunge in my car to face some track work if she takes u racing again she will stay in the blue car and i will build a sports sedan.[the blue race car is in a major over haul as we speek] and probably another month or more before it's back on the track :?:

In Vic. we always have to take the car in for rego. To confirm engine and VIN numbers are as stated.

Hey Greg, I notice you went Donkey style on the rego plates.
Nice

One thing that Bruce really needs is for his aerial to be let loose to tickle low flying birds on the belly as you drive around.
That's one cracker of an aerial and it needs dance in the breeze, perhaps with a little adornment added to the end of it too  like a mini Isuzu flag or a little Japanese fish kite.
Then park him out under the trees for a few weeks to get him really crusty  Yeah then I could park Donkey next to him without fear of him getting washed as soon as I turn my back (which is always a threat when parked in front of motels between GT's when on road trips)

Hey Davo, I'm surprised you haven't found that tear drop already yourself...... or have you 8-) 8-) :?

Nice when you just come across one out there on the road.
It'd be good if you could get him to the Nats.

Good to see Bruce on the road Greg, and yeah, it's good to have one you can just drive. Lucky Vic & Sth Aus 90 day permit holders.........
Mary's in getting fixed & I'm having withdrawals. I had to go to Sydney & bring home the red car. ;)

Cheers, Matt.
