Hey guys,

I haven't seen this little gem come up before; it's popped up on Japanese Nostalgic Car's site when they covered the 2012 Nagoya Classic Car meet back in December 2012, so it's most likely only been on the Net for a short time.

Man, look how awesome this thing is.... the pictures of this car are actually better than the brochure pics I put up here:

...certainly the rear end pic is amazing and gives you a really good idea of how they looked.... COMPLETELY DIFFERENT!

Ok, well the reverse lights looks suspiciously like blinkers off the back of a teardrop... and the boot lock looks the same style as the regular sedan items, except the surround has been revised to match the curvature of the rear panel. Oh yeah, and it's attached to the rear panel and not on the actual bootlid. Rear bumper is completely different with a notch for the numberplate...

One thing I love which I never noticed before this car is the chrome strip and how it runs over and down the back of the car like a hockey stick!

Man, they're so awesome... I wish they retained the Bellett's chopped off rear wheelarch, but seriously the fact that they haven't just makes them more different... I don't suppose this had the factory LPG option...

FREAKSHOW!

If you squint a little it almost has a Renault 10 look about it....... just curvier

I LOVE IT!

A lot (if not hundreds) of hours have gone into the body of this car to get it that straight and perfect. A credit to the people who have preped and painted it.

Glenn,

You haven't been checking out the extensive Isuzu literature we've been posting up here!

I put up the Bellett B brochure in 2008 and was REALLY excited to get it... then discovered there was only a tiny little picture of the rear of the car. I was spewing!

Then there were the square-headlighted Belletts that were NOT B-models... we found that they generally centred around the PR10 models, but I swear I have a brochure with a PR20 with square lights. I will have to check. Belletts. Always confusing!

Simmo,

Yeah man, leaf sprung rear end and that deep boot... and the factory LPG option!

The main physical differences are:

Length - 5mm longer
Wheelbase - 30mm longer
Rear boot length - 20mm longer (although boot height at the end of the car would be greatly increased)
Rear track - 25mm wider (front track unchanged)
Height - 25mm higher
Weight - 20kg lighter than the standard-shaped 1500cc Deluxe equivalent

The years it was built slot it between the Bellel and the Florian, so it was a bit of a stop-gap model, I guess.
