love it! im sure i have a picture of this car somewhere! the air con looks to be factory, judging by the vents where the glove box was! i guess it needs the extra carby just to run the air con!

Definitely a TS; got the badges, the carbies and the twin (non-Chev LUV) headlights!!!

Brand new set of whitewalls on it too! Evidenced by the fact they're still blue-walls (you wash that protective coating off when you start cruising)!

Cheers,

Dave

Has TS Florian front, or mock up of a TS. Looking at blinkers on the front it is a 70 model.

My 1969 has those same blinkers.

I'm doubting it's a replica... only because I figure 'who would bother'? Having said that, stranger things have happened!

I have a photocopied parts book. 1970. Thanks Gricey. Have tried to use it as a guide and try to answer a few questions that have been raised. The biggest problem is not having hands on to the actual parts. Lesson number 1 in reading a parts book is. The picture or diagram is just that. A picture or diagram. Part numbers are what to go by, but as I have referred, not having hands on is difficult. In '68 there were 15 models for the "Domestic Market". No "Export". In '70 there were 17 "Domestic" and 5 "Export". Engines were G150 with LPG. Specifically Taxi. G161's for LPG and petrol and the G161SS twin carb OHC as used in the TS.
I don't think the wheels are genuine. Why?. The wheel caps listed are full caps. No mention of a dress centre cap as for mag wheels etc. The wheel laying beside the front 1 in the pic. looks like the standard Isuzu rim and is the spare. Wheels on the Florian had a option. 13" or 14". Depending on the model. Or built after 1970 they may have.
The TS had the 3 gauges as depicted.
The front blinker lights are listed as 1 for Domestic and 1 they manufactured specifically for Australia. The Aust. lamp has a number moulded onto the lens. AF107-701 for RH and AF107-601 for LH. For those who have a Florian. Have a look to see if this is correct. You never know. Yours may be a vehicle for Australia or it may be a Japan Domestic privately imported. Or it may be built after the parts book was printed and it is another model in the production line.
Have any of the Florian owners got a Japanese model plate attached to their vehicle.?? The parts book doesn't show which model was actually exported to Australia. If you have. Let me know and I may be able to determine which model was.

Dave.

Steering Wheel.?

The TS is the only 1 with a part number against that model. The others are listed with the horn ring as per PR20 sedans.

My blinkers don't have any digits in them, but it's possible my car was sold before that became a thing.

Although I don't have books, I can definitely say mine was Aussie delivered; Japanese-delivered cars tend to have some weird stuff on them like little service stickers or, in the case of my GTR, a service-related novel moulded into the driver's door trim!

Also, the speedo is in miles while Japan were KM back then.

Perhaps it took a hit (I know it did; dunno if the blinkers were damaged in that tho).

Awesome investigating tho!

Cheers,

Dave
