Kamikazie have Bellett GTR's in "stock" also. They act as agents for dealers is my understanding. And very hard to contact so while these cars might be on short list..... can't get info. If one could find where the actual dealer or seller is, it would help and most likely, cheaper also ! this one at about 1,200,00 Yen http://isuzucars.kamikaze-drive.com/BELLETT004.htm this one at 1,800,000 Yen http://isuzucars.kamikaze-drive.com/BELLETT003.htm this one, very nice 1,598,000 Yen http://isuzucars.kamikaze-drive.com/BELLETT001.htm picture below and this one at 2,000,000 http://isuzucars.kamikaze-drive.com/BELLETT002.htm None really what you would call "cheap" but apprently its a start point for a GTR in Japan. ie somebody there is buying at these prices (or negotiated down a bit)

This 1800GT is sitting on Yahooo currently at 10,500 yen (peanuts) when we asked about, they want 1,780,000 yen for it..... serious money. Note its damaged on left side, front guard, bumper, rear quarters. Bonnet has severe rust in leading edge and right side. It does have a very good interior though. One owner car they say. you guessed it, Isuzu Sports have it............. the blue GTN in the background was recently also on Yahoo.... and pulled at last minute. It's asking price is 680,000 yen. Has very bad rust in rear pan and most likely, elsewhere. Does have twin side drafts on it though. But GTN apprently is lower HP engine.

Attachment: Bellett Pics.zip Jason that looks quite good. (pale blue car) One picture would not extract though #005.jpg Having the GTR type front bumpers, I like also. I am not particuarly after a GT-R. Quite happy with a GT. any indications on where it is and cost? Guess need to wait for a reply from your contacts........ looks promising though ! glenn |

Yep - same car! Don't forget this previously went through the auctions - twice (without a bid placed) through USS Nagoya. It had an auction grade of R which generally means previous damage and repair. It is however common to see 40 - 50 year old cars graded in this way after even a restoration. Think you would agree that it appears to have been resprayed etc. but it is safe to presume there wouldn't be many Bellett's (or Prince GT's ) around that haven't been either restored/tidied up etc..... The nature of the beast for us classic car collectors eh? Out of interest i've asked my guys in Japan to notify me of any 'private' sale Bellett's that are advertised. This is where you can find the 'right' car if you are patient - and are generally easier to deal with/negotiate. My guys owe me a few favours of late - i have just sent a Prince Gloria from NZ to Japan for one of them, and in about two weeks i am sending a Datsun 240C (2 door) to Japan which we got locally here in Melbourne. If i hear anything i will let you know...or i may buy myself |

not the first time i have heard of cars going back to japan, mate here had a nice 240zx? (the 2 seater datsun sports car) he advertised it for sale, an asian man came and looked at it and bought it even paid the price advertised. Mate was curious and asked what his plans for it were, his answer im taking it back to japan with me! |

so should we be saying.. "no sell to you, not Aussie, not NZ, not american. NO DEAL BUDDY!!!" "you go buy back home and leave our cars for us. you no good for our economy." sure should be saying it more about the property and land we are selling off to every man and his dog. even Indonesia will not allow you to purchase land or property unless you are Indonesian Citizen but i may be able to to buy a car from there OZ |

an update.... Jason told me of this '73 GT that went to auction but not sold (another thread). Found the dealer and car looked fairly good but later inspection and MANY (250+) pictures, showed the car to be not so good. A quick coat of paint covering (sort of) some dodgy repairs and bad rust underneath. A pity as it looked nice in that colour and also had the GTR type bumpers. OK, all cars will have some rust but I think there might be better ones out there. More "honest" cars.

Go Glenn, great to see another variation for the Nationals. Your postings were a little quiet last week, thought you might have took a quick trip to the land of the rising sun. Now just have to sit bavck and wait for it to land. Good Luck and Congrats Geoff |

thanks, My Dad died last week so not many posts. not sure if it will make the Nats. although I would love it to. I think it needs a head gasket. Might as well freshen engine up once i pull the head off i guess. And it probably needs other work too, brakes checked etc. But if it can make it will. I think the only Sport here in Oz? glenn |
