Hi, Just wondering if anyone out there has a Wasp Tail Light Lens and/or The Chrome Surround they would be able to sell?? :?:
Even a cracked lens or surround that needs re-chroming!! condition is not hugely important!
Even if you just have one or the other
I Know I am pushing my luck
Many Thanks
Josh :D

looks Like I am outa luck so decided to look at suitable replacement :?:
Thought about VW type 2 60's tail lights, sort of similar (slightly bigger)
Easy enough to get hold of and replacement lenses are $20 a pair including postage :D
If anyone has any other Ideas I would be grateful :ugeek:
Josh

Looks like a pretty good sustitute considering the unavailability of the genuine light.... and early VW parts are plentiful as there are a lot of after market manufacturers.

Josh,
You can use Amber "Lens Dye" - cheap and does a pretty good job.

With the indicator light on the guards when they fade, I have just used colored globes :ugeek:

Hey Joshua,

With the guard lights, they don't need to be orange (and indeed many weren't) as orange blinkers weren't mandated until about 1972ish.

Post any Aussie-delivered Belletts anyway.

Hey, why this interest in Wasp tail lights.... ????

I have a theory, but I'm wondering if you're keeping it a surprise?!

Also, I have a single spare lens which I'd lend out if you were going to get new lenses made but I will need to keep in case I am ever bumped in the bum!

Thanks Dave

Can you get them made??, I didnt know that! do you know where?? :o

We picked up a couple a while back, one was complete the other wasn't.
Am having the backs re-zinked and i'm re-wireing them and getting Oz to re-make the seal rubbers from the one good one :D

I thought I had 2 chances with the lens but I thought I may have a chance with the chrome surround :(

I think I know your theory and if your theory is the theory i'm thinking that you theory is
then your theory could very well be right
