Hi peeps,

Anyone know anywhere in the world I'd be able to get headlight surrounds? as you can see I am missing one.

Ok, Rowena, you've started with one of the more difficult parts to get. I don't have any spare ones, but once I'm home next week I can make a phone call. Its a possible maybe.
Another strategy is to fit a Bellett grille, the early Bellett headlight surrounds are harder to find, but the light pressed aluminium late series ones are easy. I can supply a late grille and surrounds.
Cheers, Matt.

Thanks Matt! :)

I love the Wasp grille so will be sticking with it.

Are these parts easier to find in say Japan or somewhere that you know of? I tried to have a quick look online but with no success.

Hey Matt will the early series surrounds fit with the existing grill and screw points [2 of them look to be in a different position] ??
If so I do have a pair of early series headlights surrounds.

From my understanding there are no wasps in japan.
They were all exported.

Parts are hard to find and most bits off sedans and gt s don't fit

Buy another and use bits from each other

Depends what you want to achieve.

Hi Robot,
Good to see another one getting saved. I too need headlight surounds, and am thinking the only way might be to get some made up. I just need to find someone to do it, as I don't have the skills or tools to do it.
Good luck.

I believe they are Glenn. I hope so anyway, as I didn't take any notice when I striped the orange one down, and just fitted them on any oldway.
I figure it could be done, and maybe there would be enough interest to get a bulk run produced ?

I have the number of a small foundry, the owner of which told me he could cast any item in alloy or brass. I'll attempt to contact him this week.
:) Matt.
