Whole assembly, so lens, casting, brackets, fasteners. I was eyeing off some GT-R lights on Yahoo until I realised they were completely different.

Davo noted the driving lights are identical to some Hillman offered (likely across the Rootes range) and I'm yet to chase up that as a lead. If I can find some without having them remade, great! If not, I may not have a choice...at least I will be forced to make multiples, so can offer to others.

didn't realise they differed. But i would think GT-r type would be close enough although finding some to model from might be an issue

The GT-R type appear different in every way, from what I can see...they're bigger, different lens, brackets and general assembly. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Of course, being mounted to the front bumper of the car, most of them likely perished in the first car park bump! :(

New request...

...does anyone have a radiator shroud? Visited Oz today and spotted one for the first time. As per usual (so I'm told) mine is missing...I'd love one to keep my GT original.

Cheers!

Duane, i guess you mean the 'rounded' type. I have one here that is square..... ie square or sharp not rounded corners all round. I am not certain what model it comes from though.

Its formed up from flat sheet, Dave. I have seen one before but unsure just what its off..... appears to be Bellett mount holes. It came with the spare sport parts

From my observations, GTs have the same cowl as sedans. They were fitted from the first sedans up to the 1968 model year, but deleted on strip taillight models. Then they had no cowl or just a small 'finger stopper' at the top, the same as Florians. I believe the cowl makes cooling more efficient at town speeds. So, why was it deleted? Probably a weight saving!

As for the square one, I don't know where it belongs, but it is rather unattractive, IMHO. Looks flatter, so perhaps it is for a model with radiator closer to the motor?

Cheers, Matt.

WOW, that is a strange and ugly one Glenn Eh? :x
First time I have seen one, is it possible it was hand made by a person unknown in Japan?? ;)

even though its ugly, it appears factory made.

My Sport has no shroud but it does have a fan guard over the top of (thermo) fan thats welded onto the radiator top tank.
