Post subject:  CHOKE CABLE

hi I am chasing a choke cable for the 90 anyone got spares ??... I have a good black ''c'' which you pull ( this don't sound good but you get the idea ...do you ) just cable is r/s ..have cash waiting cheers davo

there used to be, maybe still, universal Choke cables available from Auto stores, if all else fails, Dave

Glenn is correct, I had to replace the choke cable in the yellow peril some time ago and found one at either Repco or Bursons ( I can't remember which as I find lots of universal parts at both).

It is branded as Bonnet release/ choke cable and you cut it to the desired length. the only problem was that it comes with the cable attached to a standard black knob, not the one with the "C" in the middle. Cheap as chips, around $20 from memory., threaded in nicely and was long enough to give a nice wide loop for easy operation. Piccies attached

for a more 'original' under bonnet look, buy some black heat shrink tubing from Jaycar or Altronics and shrink it over the exposed outer, once the length is worked out.

thanks guys got a brand new one from Caloundra it has the original 'c 'on it great it looks as the old one ..im stoked $20 cheers davo
