Okay, to start with I probably know that there's not going to be many out there !

Just putting this up if anyone hears of one that may or may not be for sale.

WANTED : Dual Sidedraft Weber manifold for 1500 motor (G150), with or without carburetors.

the only twin side draft manifold ive ever seen in the flesh was on a race car down here. they were made by "lynx" , and were a rare thing when they were new in the 70's, so the chances today.... i know of a car down here that has a single side draft manifold, made by "lynx" also, but it was purchased in the 70's also, and ive never seen or heard of another...
a downdraft manifold for a bellett was never made either.

a possible option would be a twin SU manifold for a sedan engine (i gather we all know that a GT inlet manifold and/or extractors WILL NOT bolt onto a sedan head??). there were a few different ones made back then by different companies, and i know of a few in bellett collections. personally, i think the "DAS" (drane auto service, in sydney, who mod'ed and raced belletts in the day, and did the famous "project bellett" in wheels magazine) manifold is best, as it has longer intake runners than the others, which are about 50% longer than a GT manifold, giving better low down grunt. the other ones ive seen made by other mobs are about the same length as a GT one.
another thing might be to use the original bellett manifold and put a DGV weber downdraft on it off a 2lt escort/cortina. all it needs is an adaptor plate that is commonly available. i did this mod to a mates sedan years ago, with a little cam and a set of pipes, and it really got it going, with a nice intake noise to match! i can give u all the finer details on this idea if you need, so PM me and i'll give you my number (easier to talk thru it really).

also, remember that any inlet manifold change on a sedan engine will need a set of extractors as well, because the inlet will not fit without them. "sonic" made them in the day, but as they are now 30-40 years old, they have a nasty habit of being paper thin and full of holes, so i new set made by an exhaust place would be far better.

I really wish you guys would stop giving Rob ideas, cause as soon as he gets them into his head, he is off over my neck of the woods and digging thru my garage (more like 30 years of Bellett memorabilia and associated parts!!) to find anything that looks like bolt on extra performance for the street sleeper he is building up.
More than happy to loan him my stuff but i am sure not selling any of it.
We all know of the gear we have sold over the years to never come across another one ever again.

This is a single Weber manifold .It is one of the bits I have collected over a period of years in order to build a 1960's nostalgic street/club car.

I surmise from this information that if anyone finds one they're going to keep it for their collection.
I asked just incase one came up that was surplus, lol.

I've bought a couple things from Paeco and would like to recommend a little bit of caution in buying from them.
Their standards of fit and finish, appearance, and performance are not very high.

They are or were hooked in with a company called Kirk Racing Products. The headers sold by both companies are/were identical. Both featured plasma cut flanges that looked about like a crayon drawing by a two year old child. No attempt at equal length of the runners. Welds were sloppy with a lot of splatter and bubbles. I don't know if any of you on the other side of the world are familiar with Pacesetter or Monza (same company). Pacesetter is the cheapest, piece of crap header on the market, about $125 for a four cylinder. They are made in Mexico, rust through almost immediately, don't fit the vehicle, and loose power against the stock manifold and down pipe whenever someone actually dyno testing them. Kirk/Paeco headers are actually worse than Pacesetter.

Another example is their crankshaft grinding and lightening service. The more recent Isuzu engine crankshafts are nitride treated. The coating is microns thin. The factory instructions are that if the surface treatment is scratched through, discard the crankshaft and buy a new one. Polishing, grinding, or lightening the crankshaft is not an option without $3,000+ to have the crankshaft re-nitrided. But Paeco is more than happy to grind on your crankshaft and return it to you without any hardened finish to keep the journals form wearing and eating bearings.

Paeco does do a lot of one off stuff, but the finished product always looks rough. Everything seems to look like it was made by a teenager in their driveway, using basic hand tools. You would think that after being in business for as long as they have been, that they could at least end up with something with a bit better appearance. And especially with their price scale.

My suggestion is not to expect much and you won't be disappointed.

Opppps, didn't know that. First off Id like to say I know NOTHING about these cars, however; the manifold in the pic looks an AWFUL LOT like the manifold for a 1500 Midget/Spitfire. Has anyone ever tried to see if it will fit? What's the bottom look like?
