Hi All,
We are going to get some manifold gaskets made for 1600GT and 1500 sedan, I have no idea on price at this stage, but will be sold on at cost if anyone interested. :)
Please contact Geoff (Isabell) or Greg (Orphanage)
Thanks Geoff.

The cast head 1500, and alloy GT. if anyone wants other gasket I would need a sample, to copy. I will be dropping the ones I have got to them on Friday.
They are all different, some have square inlet others have square exhaust, and others are all round inlet and exhaust.

Are these going to be the sandwich waffle metal core type or just the plain material type?

Cheers

The GT ones are in production. They are being made out of the same material as they make flange gaskets from. SORRY PURISTS they will not make asbestos ones anymore .

Oz do you wan't alloy 1500 sedan ones? If so are they the same stud pattern as the cast with different port holes? if so send me a sample. Once again the 1st one is the most expensive but if it's only the shape of the ports it's not so bad. We have 10 ordered gt gaskets they are $44 each they are laser cut it cost us $110 for the set up to make them. If anyone wants the pm me as the $100 will be split making them cheaper than $44
I will post photo's of the gt gaskets they will be ready next week. 1500 cast one will be made also i need to find a good sample for them. Same deal the more we order the further we spread the tooling cost which we hope is just a modification of the gt print.
This will lower the price again. Chev luv ones come with the vrs fyi.

Nice job Greg & Geoff.
Typically, when I had the Florian head off recently, I went to the box to get a manifold gasket & had 3 GT ones & 3 iron head sedan ones, but Flo's. I got the Luv VRS kit, but the gasket was no good, square exhaust and round inlet holes. (Should be vice-versa for Florian.) Exhaust leaked at the square corners. So I put a film of muffler putty on the old one & reused it. Worked OK. If there is interest in Florian ones, I'd like a couple, though I don't have a template.
Not sure if they're the same as 1500 alloy head?
Cheers, Matt.

Odd coincidence, I now find myself forced into having gaskets manufactured for the 90's cars.
Dealer parts had been difficult to obtain, and seem to have gotten worse recently.
I had been able to backtrack some of the parts made by GM parts suppliers, to identical aftermarket parts. However, any parts that are exclusive to Isuzu are now being discontinued en mass. As long as the same gasket is shared by a Ford or something else, it remains available, but anything that is not shared is gone or soon to be gone. I expect that engine rebuild kits will soon be gone as well.

My own personal stockpile is not going to last through the summer.
I'm going to start doing mechanical drawings of the new gaskets as I use them and any used gaskets I do not have. It is a happy accident that the last Holley carb rebuild kit manufacturer is within a few miles of me, and anxious to do small runs of any gasket I can come up with.

There are four or more generations of engines over the 40+ years of Isuzu cars. What I am working with is different from the OHV engines and the 161Z engines in Australia. I hope someone is over there making drawings of everything or at least making tracings. It's a real pain to discover there aren't any more to be had after the last one has been destroyed.

Hi GT sorry to be a pain, have you have the sedan gaskets made up yet? I am pretty excited at the prospect of using a new gasket as I have been using second hand gaskets and goop for a long time now.

Would love a complete gasket set for a 1600GT...

...anyone help? Failing that, manifold and flange gaskets, and I guess a valve cover gasket is the same as a 1500?

Cheers,
Duane
