And forget the windows on the sides and turn it into a isuzu bellett panelvan that was a concept car before Holden and Ford ever thought of it. Japan may want to buy it back off the ozzies? It would one of a kind ;)

Shame, would have been done right..

one built with GT doors would have better proportions also.

............Heck, I have a spare sport here that could be a donor !

The one of two Sports in the country being a donor?? Ahh, perisher thought!

I could supply a pair of GT doors to a genuine Express build. I wonder if a Wasp cab back wall could be formed into a tailgate? I know of one already detached.
Now this would be an epic project! Now don't forget the electric left side cargo window that my Express wiring diagram shows as being there!

Gunna dream, dream big!
(Off topic, sorry)
Cheers, Matt.

a wasp rear could work...... but the basis from a sedan should be fine. And a Sport has the long doors already so less work there. Extending the roof could be a little tricky to get right lines. Never knew about the side window but i think that could be overlooked, nobody would notice.......

If you were going to do it properly, I think you would find they used the long wheel base Wasp chassis for the Express.

I have never crank started a bellett before today. I'm happy. One more off the bucket list. :D

It even had the original mounting clips for the crank handle in the boot!!!

Cool car.

So did you find out the reserve? (I don't expect you to say how much!)

so it looks like some negotiations are going to be in play here as the car didn't reach its reserve price.
or there will be no new buyer, the market has spoken, the value is there in black and white.
a real pity it wasn't painted in original colour if you ask me.
so what is the other NSW red early series worth with reference to this car???

OZ
