Stu said it had high backs from another car and he still had the original low backs. Nothing mentioned about brakes.

Yes, it does look familiar. If so, it was underpriced before, and snapped up by a bargain hunter. (Shame it wasn't closer!)
I'd say the buyer has slapped a grand on it without any improvement. Ok if you can get it I guess. Lets hope the next owner shows it some more love.
Cheers Matt.

SOLD!!!

Seems Donkey made an impression while I have been house sitting for friends.
A week and a half ago I had a guy pull up when he saw Donkey parked out front.
He was really excited to see a Bellett on the road and wondered if I knew of any for sale so I told him to check out this on on Gumtree.
The next day he had his beautifully restored Morris 1100 parked up on the corner for sale (he also has a cracker FC sedan)
Yesterday he popped in again to say that the Morris sold and he bought the Bellett.
I've told him about the forum too but he says he's not very computer savvy but will have a go in time.
I've seen his Morris and his FC........... rest assured this Bellett is SAVED!

That's great news!

How often do you get excited people come up to you and say "whoah, a Bellett!? Where can i get me one?" only for nothing to happen.

This guy's put his money where his mouth is! yay!

Yeah, good news. Try and keep in touch with him mate, just in case he doesn't get to the computer. He could be a candidate for next years Nationals, if not this. And o.s.j.c.c. - He stands to find a whole new bunch of mates!
Cheers,Matt.

Your right Dave, this guy's did put his money where his mouth is!
He did and never questioned the guys asking price.
As he said to me "you have to be prepared to pay for a classic or classic cars will be worth nothing'

Yeh Matt the contact will remain.
I gave him my details on one of our osjcc business/contact cards but I'm not sure if he will become a member yet as he and his brother already have their own classic car owners club they run.....
