Looks like a great event, wish I could have been there also, but having a new job might have been a bit tricky to get the time off, many thanks for the great photos Dave, including the picture with my Father standing there taking his own picture of the Belletts etc etc, very glad so many could fly the flag for us all, even better was to see Lizzie sitting down chatting to Farmer. Well done to all the attendees, safe trip home to all. Cheers Steve and Peg

Hi Steve, thank you for your comments, pity your father didn't introduce himself we could have enjoyed a coffee or tea with him? We were visited by Peter Schroeder during the day, many thanks Pete for finding the time, it was great to catch up after so long!

It was a brilliant day with cars not seen before, a very good mixture of ISUZU'S, including the 3 Wasps, :o excellent, 1 restored (Lizzies), 1 as found and the bronze one still under restoration!!. 8-)
The day was very windy, which did spoil part of our display as we could not put up our information boards/signs, we were not allowed to attach them to any buildings or Street fixtures, so they stayed in the boot of our cars all day. No rain at all, that helped make the day very enjoyable.
A GREAT ROLL UP, MOST WE EVER HAD AT THIS EVENT!
A Big Big thank you to all those that took part and brought their cars and to all those people that visited us during the day :D
Dave M.
P.S. Bullitt not sure if off eBay, was out of VIC that is all I know, sorry.

Yes, the black Wasp is the one off E-bay from Victoria last February. The orange Wasp is the one from Bungendore, which I picked up in June last year as a blue "farm ute". I hope to finish it soon, but couldn't quite make it for the weekend.
I beleive a big thankyou should go out to Dave for his efforts in getting so many cars to Sydney for the event. Also to Warren D for his efforts in getting the black Wasp down there too.
It is the first event I have been to in many years, and I now wonder WHY ?
Warren

Hi all, what a great weekend.
Rhys came with me & it was good to have some time with him on the journey talking about how stuff works. (Like truck gearboxes.)
Great to meet you Warren, and to break the ice on attending events. They're always a good time.
Hey, I have to tell about this:
Gary Carter often reminisces about the GT he had in the '70s, and where it may be now. An enquiry into the database didn't find any results. So he's talking to Warren about his Wasps, and gets onto his GT, and who he sold it to, and where it was when he last saw it, etc. (as he does) And he tells Warren his name. Warren says "That car is at home in my shed!" Gary comes staggering over to me and his face is somewhere between this  , and this :D . He's clutching a letter that was written to him back when he owned the car in Canberra, that Warren had kept with the documentation that came with the car. My face goes like this :o , then like this  . Unbelieveable!!
Are they ALL still out there somewhere??

Wonderful to see Liz, and have a good chat, and just enjoy being able to.
Many other good talks to great people, enquiries & reminiscences from lookers, you know how it goes....
A big Thanks to Tom & Julie for the great beer & barbie dinner, and to people for suggestions for the year at the ICCA AGM.
Dave, you missed a great kroose on Sunday, even though it was drizzling rain, it wasn't enough to wet us. There was some bonnet-up action as Gricey & Tom tuned Bobs new twin carbies. A scenic run along the Seacliff road, and we had a realy good lunch at the Bulli Hotel.
Rhys & I visited some good friends at Woolongong on the way home, where there was even more Bellett talk, and I was able to give Phil a drive in a Florian, an experience he'd never had.

I've got photos, but that might be tomorrow night now.
Cheers, Matt.

Yeh, Matt, real sorry I missed the kroose, :( but I had a committemnt in Mudgee, I KNOW WHERE I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED TO BE

It is amazing how the little cars we follow turn up in one way or another!! :o
I was hoping that one day my original sedan would turn up, ;) BUT these days I am doubtful. A white/cream 1966 1/2 sedan, blue interior first bought in September 1966 when I was in the Army, traded in on my first Florian in February 1969. Grrrr, I have made some selling mistakes in my life  That means both sales, the Florian also!!!

'81 Isuzu Piazza injected twin-cam. Just 2 years newer than Gary's 117. A rare & desirable car (IMHO):

Hey Matt, cheers for the great pics. Funny how these little isuzu thingies come out on mass all dressed to play and inevitably...STEAL THE SHOW

Like David was to Goliath, Belletts will always be giant slayers.
