Hi All,
It seems that there is a new Wasp surfacing every other week lately. I am curious as to how many are known to exist now.
I have two, both that were at Sydney's Carnivale in 2013 with Liz's green one.
Looking forward to the count.

I only have 2 at the minute, they are Shrek and as yet unnamed unresto. (Which will have a sporty flavour. ;) )
Both are short wheelbase tabletops.
:) Matt.

Tha's an impressive count Greg. I assume that Liz's 3 and my 2 are included in your numbers.
How many of these are regestered examples ? I was assuming from the trouble I had with the RTA, that my orange one "phoenix" was the only one registered in NSW. Can anyone confirm this ?
Also GTtoo, where did you get that number from (176) ? I thought there was only 122 that were brought over here??
In any case they are hardy little buggers. Even Greg's count of 30 out of GTtoo's 176 is a huge survival rate after almost 50 years. (17%) or 24% if the 122 was correct.
How many are known to have perished ?... I know my first one I had back in the '90s which was a long wheel base was lost in 1996, along with a (verrrry rusty) PR90, that supplied some parts for Lewis's car.

I will try and answer this wholly based on my knowledge encrypted for privacy reasons. Nsw count was a head count o the ones I know of. Being your 2 and farmer admitted he has shrek and a mate for shrek number 5 I know of in nsw is a blue one on another thread with club plates ;) answers another question for you. WA is easy as Tassie. SA is as per avatar, one needing a resto and Bruce Ruston's car that has a twin in vic and in vic is another avatar car as a stable mate we will call gasser.
Qld pr95 came clean there lizzie's 3 I walter regoed and warwick is undergoing a resto it is almost back to rolling chassis with new brakes, bearings rebuilt gearbox and we picked up a donor sedan yesterday or the right engine. Rust has been cut from cab and sandblasting will be next. Most rust repair's done. On completion of Warwick we have plans for the 3rd wasp that is complete. 4 wasps in qld now ad 1 that was for sale up north. I know of 1 western qld I have not pursued and contacts of 2 more in qld. A restored car lives in Caboolture between myself and pr95 and a half restored 1 in Brisbane. 10 the was 1 picked up at the nats a few years back that lives in a town now with another 2 and 2 live further north. qld 15 and I just thought of another in vic  30 wasps is what I can count no doubt there will be some I either forgot or don't know about that's how I got the 30 round figure.
I am unsure what happened to the wasp for sale up north a while ago. The car in western qld we were given a phone number when I have a truck in the area we can pick it up condition unknown :?: The other 2 are safe atm. The rest anyone can work out on the forum over time.

I'm sure Gary won't mind me adding, as can be gleaned from other threads, that he has 3. "Dunne" std wheelbase tabletop ex. Dunedoo, blue styleside ute and long wheelbase tabletop ex. Bairnsdale. So tne NSW count goes to 7.
:) Matt.

You had a lwb in the 90's ?? Did it have huge horns on the roof? Did you get it from a bloke named Dave?
If so, I sold it to him in 1988, and bought it from Ted Freeman in 1982.
If not, it means there were at least 3 lwb examples in NSW in the '80's.

As for regos, both Shrek and Gary's styleside are on historic plates.
:) Matt.

Busy busy! I've barely had time for a decent look.
Some good things to note, very little rust, just a bit in the sills. Very few dents. The other headlight trim is inside the cab and good.
Missing bits are: glovebox lid, jack and crankhandle, and all the upholstery. The rest is all there!

Perhaps its time for a new thread, but the count has gone up one! Woo hoooo!
:D Matt.
