Re: Another SA Crew on the way...
OK so Ross is too nice a guy to explain what really has been going down.....

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge sender!
Thanks Dave and Glenn - I've just ordered the unit for Hilux part number 83520-55011 from the Melbourne 4x4world supplier. Hopefully it arrives end of the week so I can fit on the weekend and go for a spin. Thanks again Dave for the groundwork on finding this replacement part!

Re: Oil Pressure Gauge sender!
Hi Dave
I think my oil pressure sender has given up the ghost completely (previously was somewhat intermittent...), so I reckon I need to purchase a replacement as you have. Any chance you could also let me know the seller in Brisbane? Thanks in advance and thanks for doing the research on a ...

Hi everyone
Very late apologies for missing the 50th run, but a BIG thank you to the guys for posting all the photos above... really appreciate the efforts gone to. Definitely suffering withdrawal symptoms being sans road-going Bellett for too long now. Plans are afoot though to have my GT back on ...

Re: Houston, we have a problem!
Hey Greg - as usual you are right re manifold gasket, so it would be great to buy your 'spare' if the offer is still there. I'm happy to collect at Nationals if OK with you? PM me with $$$ if you like so I can have right money on me...

Re: Houston, we have a problem!
Hey thanks guys for the replies. Yeah as Matt sort of suggests, the more I look into local machine shops, the more I'm told there's no chance it'll be done before the Nats. There are very few machinists left in Adelaide I'm told, and the good ones are naturally very busy. And the last thing I want ...

Houston, we have a problem!
Heading back to Adelaide a couple of weeks ago from SA's Riverland...... lost a cylinder outside Murray Bridge.... yep, $250 tow back home. Finally got around to getting head off tonight, hoping for 'just' a valve or head gasket issue.... take a look at cylinder #4 below. WTF!

Re: Steering shaft coupling
Thanks Lewis. Yes, I'd got new steering rack rubbers about 2 months ago and fitted them.... Dave Carey was having a few made up so I got some then. Not entirely sure where he had them made, but they appear to fit well. Maybe the rack shifted a bit anticlockwise during this? Not sure, but I do know ...

Steering shaft coupling
Hi all
I've noticed that the steering shaft coupling on the GT is scraping the cross member below, as shown here:
re-aligning steering bush 080612.jpg
steering bush fouling crossmember 080612.jpg
Should I be rotating the rack towards the front of the car to stop this, or just pushing the ...

Re: WHY WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN
Very impressive build to date, Greg. Attention to detail second to none.
I'll be interested to hear how the KYB shocks and Fiat springs go - I've got the same shocks all round and seem to be OK.
Red springs contrasting yellow body... very sexy. Yellow/black/red scheme reminds me of RenaultSport ...

Re: Bellett oil, fuel & air filter info
How about this one... can't see it listed above... my local tractor shop (in McLaren Vale, SA - home of THE BEST red wines in the land) has off the shelf Bare & Co #B7701 oil filters to suit Massey-Ferg grey motors (and many more) - these fit beautifully. Mr Dave Carey Esq. put me onto these. Old ...

Thanks Dave.
Yes I know the feeling of sloppy steering rack mounts all too well... Have just last month replaced with new rubber mounts, so she's nice and tight now, and I can approach corners with a new found confidence! I'll have a go at making a chute like yours for the next oil change. It has ...

Oil pressure sender
Hi All
Changed the oil in the GT over the weekend... Turned engine over for about half a minute or so in total with ignition coil lead out; oil warning light goes out - ready to reconnect and fire. She starts up normally, then notice oil pressure gauge not reading a thing. So turn off, check wire ...

Re: Holden (Isuzu) Piazza hits the National Motor Museum
Hey Dave, thanks for the whole Sale-of-the-Century background... Your obvious enthusiasm for Tony and the girls made me laugh and worry about your brain processes all at the same time. Brought back good memories, especially of the fit young ladies displaying the 14 day cruise-liner prize in the ...
