Re: Another PR90 resto

Well it has taken five years but the car is now finally complete. It recently went for a roadworthy inspection and passed with flying colours so is now registered and I am happy to say that I have secured my old plate (RWT-143) from my original blue Bellett sedan that appears elsewhere on the forum ...

Re: Distributor Assembly

Hi Dave
Thanks for the info. The 8230-0086 is pretty sad but has a good vacuum unit that I have put on 8230-0093 as that distributor is in quite good condition but did not have a vacuum int. I have spoken with Tom Amos and he has informed me that he believes the distributor that we currently have in ...

Re: Distributor Assembly

Further to my previous post above I have gone through my parts bin and found three distributors. The part numbers on them are as follows:
8230-0093 according to the parts manual is for a G150 or G150D
8230-0086 Unknown what this belongs to and the same goes for 5-81300-016-0.
Perhaps someone can ...

Distributor Assembly

As you know I am restoring a PR90 and we finally have the engine running and recently it underwent a run in and tuning on a dyno. The issue we have is we do not believe that the distributor supplied with the car is correct. It does not have an "O" ring on the main shaft like all the other ...

Re: Another PR90 resto

Thanks for your kind words AJ. No, I do not have a sticker for the Jack but would be interested in obtaining one. Are you selling them?

Re: Another PR90 resto

I have not been on here for a while but thought I should post an update on the PR90 but before I do that, I would like to know how you are going with yours Dave. Have you finished the roof and moved on to paint? very interested where you are at.

The PR90 is almost done, longest restoration I have ...

I forgot to add the picture of the balance date for the pistons. Ross are very thorough and as I said before their quality is excellent.

Re: Another PR90 resto

Time to add a little update on the PR90. Engine did not go in for machining as planned however he did manage to fit in the head and that has finally been completed. Chambers have been rated at 45cc and comp ratio has been done to a theoretical 9.5 to 1, we had 35 thou taken off to achieve this ...

GT Air Cleaner Lids

Does anybody have a pair of GT Air Cleaner Lids (same as the chrome ones in the picture attached) they are willing to sell me. I picked up a load from my chrome platers today as they had the items for six months and only stripped them back. Unfortunately they have destroyed the lids in the process ...

Re: Temp Sender Unit/Oil Pressure switch

Thanks for all your help here guys. What I did not realise was that the GT had two oil sensors/switches. (Duuuh)When I got the car there was a switch at the bottom of the oil pump and nothing else I have just had a look at the wiring diagram and a poke around a have found the hole at the rear bottom ...

Temp Sender Unit/Oil Pressure switch

Temp Sender Unit, Oil Pressure switch/sender and thermostat.
Does anybody have part numbers or brand names for these items to suit my PR90. It looks like they all use the same item in the G150/G161 so I am assuming the G160 would be the same but I do not know who makes or supplies replacement items ...

Re: Another PR90 resto

Yes Glen, wheels are 14 x 6 Superlites with a 26P offset. Got them from Chris Neale in Queensland, he had sets available and machined them to my requirements. Craig gave me the off set.

They are now fitted with Nankang 185x60R14 tyres but they took a while to come it. Have attached picture of the ...

Re: Another PR90 resto

Just remembered something, L305649 is the cup and R50Z-17 is the bearing, strangely Statewide found it under the one part number so be careful that you do not just chase the cup.

Re: Another PR90 resto

Tried the number L305649 through Statewide as well and had no joy. I have tried that (Locate ball bearings) site and it appears they do not ship to Australia, I have sent them an email asking the question so will have to wait and see what they say. From memory that was the problem when I tried to ...

Re: Another PR90 resto

That's them alright. Obviously my supplier is adding a markup which is to be expected. I did not want to buy on line in case I got the wrong ones but at that price I may have a dabble at a pair of those just so I have a set. I would reckon that you should be able to land a pair here for around $300 ...
