Hey all,

Just got my bellett through its mot test and registered here in the uk and its great, but was very sluggish and have found a leaking diaphram on the vacuum advance. Anybody any ideas of another unit that would fit a pr20 ? Or anybody got a second hand one lying about? ( I know you are ...

rear springs on front etc ?

Hi all,

Heard various conflicting reports about putting the rear coil springs on the front of Belletts. My car had original front springs which made it ride kinda high at the front. Swopped them for a set of rears I had and it sits a lot better now.

Heard some folk saying this worked well, others ...

Re: rear wheel cylinder problem. Help !

Many thanks to Mr Oz Toffa for the 4 wheel cylinder seals. Front ones fitted a treat (had made in England written on them !!)

Rear ones are causing me bother - cannot get seal to slip back into cylinder as it seems to big / tight to fit especially if you have to get a tool behind the plate that ...

Re: fitting sigma discs to bellett

gt orphanage and jt91,

Sorry - didn't make it very clear. Planning to use mx5 engine, MX5servo and Mx5 front brake calipers (as they are matched to each other), but use the sigma discs and bellett hubs with my original alloys that fit my Bellett now, not the mx5 alloys.

Still not sure - what stops ...

Re: fitting sigma discs to bellett

Mr GT Orpanage,

Just reading your reply regarding the 13" rims. I am not using the mazda rims on the Bellett, the bellett has them already (some obscure brand from nz) (My car will soon have some photos on the site soon courtesy of Dave - you might see them there).
Still unclear as to whether I can ...

Re: fitting sigma discs to bellett

Hi all,

Reading this thread with interest.

2 questions

1. Can you still buy new magna discs in Australia that slip straight onto the drum hub? (Canny get them here in Scotland)

2. My car has great 13" alloys which i must keep, so when you say the wheels must be 14" what is to stop you from ...

rear wheel cylinder problem. Help !

Hi folks,

jeff in Scotland here. Got weeping seals in my rear wheel cylinders. Bores look good, seals look knakkered. Anybody know a replacement seal off the shelf from another manufacturer. Want to try to avoid resleeving for the time being.

Many thanks, jeff

hi folks,

Wondering about the heater fan in a '67 1500 4 door bellett deluxe. Does it have a fan at all or is it the through draft that pushes any interior heat in with no heat when car is stationary ?

Re: RobSA project Bella

Hey Robsa,

Nice looking car, it,s good to see you getting stuck into it. Curious - It seems to have discs at the front! Did these come on that car as standard? Thought it was gt's etc that had discs. Would kill for a set of those!

Good luck with the build,

Jeff
