Re: Belletts in Sweden

Hi!

I was surprised to see that there still are some Belletts alive in Sweden! A relatively small amounts of cars were produced and still Belletts can be found worldwide!

Greetings from Finland!

Re: Original Bellett radio??

Hi!

Because I didn't find any original Bellett radio, I modified an old monoradio to look like the Bellett-radio as well as possible.

I removed the front plate from the radio (text in german!), and costructed a new one (size the same as in the dummy cover plate, see pic) and painted it with black ...

Re: 1965 Isuzu Bellett 1500 brochure - Australian - 6 panels

Hi!

I still have the complete tool kit, all parts are original exept the tape. As you can see from the picture of the Parts List book that Ari sent, the tool set was not the same every year. As I've written my Bellett was manufactured and sold in 1967, but in Finland it was officially ´68, the ...

By the way, did you notice that Bellett 1600 Fastback (white)? Did you have those ones there?

Cheers,

Original Bellett radio??

Hi!

Does someone have the original Bellett radio? I've never seen one here. If you own one, I'd appreciate a picture of it.

Cheers,

Re: Wheel and Tire Sizes

Hi!

The original tire size is 5.60x13 ( = 155x13 or 165x13) or 5.60x14. In my original workshop manual the wheel width is mentioned 4½" so I think 5,5" is not the original size (my original steel wheels are 4½" too), but who knows. We have noticed here that there a lot small differences in Belletts ...

Re: Forssa pick nick, August 2008 in Finland

Hi!

Some answer for Dave:

The red coupe is Opel Rekord 1900 Coupe (could have been also Commodore somewhere), so your guess was correct.

The other red Opel is Opel Ascona , check also this link

m

Opel Kadett B was also the right guess.

The old one you didn't know is For Taunus, link

Forssa pick nick, August 2008 in Finland

Here few photos from the old car friend-meeting in Finland in August. Also few Belletts were there. You may find some other cars a bit exotic (click forward or backward), because I think some of these cars were hardly imported to Australia. :D

Re: Wheel and Tire Sizes

I found my "new" alloy wheels few months ago also with the help of internet. They are japanese Bridgestone Mombasa R2 wheels (manufactured in 1979) and I think their style fits well for my Bellett. Then my fellow Bellett enthusiast found me the right size center cups. The only problem was, that the ...

Re: A Finnish Bellett

Hi there down under!

I'm happy to see that my first message was noticed and I already got two friendly answers!

Here's my answers to your questions:

As far as I know all finnish Belletts came with manual 4-speed gearbox, so mine is also manual.

I prefer these original "old school" japanese style ...
