Re: My Dubbo Wasp

I was thinking of the distributor vacuum pipe into the side of the carby, trouble is, I forget most of what I learnt about Belletts when I was youn-ger!

Re: Steering rack mounts

I purchased some steering rack rubbers off ebay, the guy manufactures them as well as Engine mounts, I haven't used them yet, so can't really offer an evaluation, just go on ebay and type in Isuzu Bellett, they should come up along with other parts and heaps of models and brochures.

Re: V8 Bellett?

I'm sure we competed against a Bellett at Amaroo Pak in the club lap dash times that was fitted with a small block Chev, but it didn't handle.

I dreamed of fitting an Alloy Buick V8 into a Bellett (Leyland), the Buick was known as a pencil head engine as the valves were vertical and the motor was ...

Re: VALE. Geoff Pearce

I honestly don't know how to respond to this, when I heard Peter Degnan had passed away I was shocked, but to hear of young Geoff departing this world is unthinkable, Geoff was only twelve (if I recall correctly) when he started helping me with my Belletts, living straight across the street in ...

Re: Rocker cover gasket

I purchased one from Auto Surplus, if you do go ahead with making or getting them made, I'm in for it, the thickness of the Auto Surplus to my memory is correct as they cover all models (this is going from very old recollections mind you)

Re: Head Bolt Tension

I'm going back a long time, but the G150 has two head bolt sizes if I recall, 17mm for the 3 Bearing and 19mm for the 5 bearing, so I would assume two different settings, be careful about overtightening.

I have been advised that more Teardrop ones will go on ebay towards the end of January and that the 67 stop/tail/blinkers are being developed.

Re: New repro Bellett tail lights on eBay

I received my pair of reproduction Teardrop Tail Lights today.

First impressions were that they are fantastic, the quality of the moulding is exquisite and the colouring even and a very rich red, as I don't have a car ready to install them on as yet, I am unable to say how they actually fit or ...

Re: New repro Bellett tail lights on eBay

Dave,

I have communicated with him also, looks like we could be onto a good thing, I will be getting a set of the Teardrops ASAP, he says he still has another three sets to put on ebay.

As you said, he is also proposing 67 style stop and blinker as well as the side lights and interior light, if we ...

Re: Belletts Nationals in Issue 395 of Unique Cars

A tremendous article, I am sorry I was unable to participate, but wouldn't be right without a Bellett, I now have two and wish I had never let the marque go, time will have me back on deck with my son Michael.

Unfortunately the Bellett from WA needs a little bit more attention than we had expected ...
