Wheel caps

Hi, There is a European telling me the wheel caps shown below are Mitsubishi - not Isuzu.

I suggested his drugs were making him funny - but just to check with the 'experts' - are these Isuzu wheel caps or not?

Cheers

Members who may have diesel utes or cars

Diesel oil in the US is getting scarce in some locations. Seems the 2 companies that make the necessary additives that make diesel work in your diesel engine are not producing those additives and do not expect to resume production for 2 years. This spells disaster for truckers and motorists in the ...

Hi Matt, I tried to PM you but seems some issue with PMs. I'd be interested in the one wheel you have. If you still have my number ring me. Cheers, Clyde

Wasp Restoration - inching closer

Just a quick update - cab soon to go back on chassis - then tub - then wiring, interior and heaps of other things.

Just thinking of items I will need - this one might take a while.

Set of Wasp guard badges - 'rocking horse' item - so I am contacting a mob in the US that does quality badges.

I ...

Isuzu Mag Wheels Origin

Hi everyone,

Maybe someone can assist with ID'ing these mag wheels. They have the Isuzu logo and 6 stud pattern as shown in photo.

Thanks for assistance.

Re: Reston twin losing its yellow paint

Just got wheels reconditioned and added new tyres. These are original Isuzu rims - not sure what they originally came on - maybe Chevy Luv. Anyone know the origin of these mags?

Re: Wasp tubs - saved this one - barely

This tub was almost too far gone but a skilful panel worker managed to save this one with some major panel work. Very little bog was used and the sides are not straight - a few slight ripples here and there - but this is a '64 ute.

Re: Reston twin losing its yellow paint

Cheers for the photos. Pretty much what I had planned to do. I have an engineer - but not the expense of one. He is more of a volunteer engineer that has taken an interest in the design of the old Wasp. He has picked up on much of the dodgy 'repairs' that have been made on this ute and fortunately ...

Re: Engine/transmission tidy up

Been cleaning the engine and transmission - painted the block in original black and cleaned up allt the alloy bits. Brakes all sorted - front drums required new cylinders and drum turned - one side almost down to metal to metal. Need to patch where "someone" cut out a section of the bell housing to ...

Wanted - Not Bellett but just in case

Hi all,
My daughter - who restored my Isuzu Piazza also bought a Holden Piazza with 3 waffle mags and one steel wheel.

So she requires one waffle mag to complete the set so when the Holden Piazza is ready for the road.

If anyone has one - or a set - or know of one PM me.

Thanks

Re: Wasp Windscreens Queensland

Update on windscreen.

I picked up the new windscreen from Moran's last month and it was confirmed that the Wasp is the same as the early Belletts.

I spoke to one of the owners and got the feeling that they will not be around forever so it would help them if you all refer anyone - with any classic ...
