4 Belletts, 3 Piazzas, 4 Gemini PF, 6 Gemini JT0 (RB), 4 Gemini JT1, 2 Askas, 1 Bighorn.

I found some pictures of this event several weeks ago, and the white Bellett with the heavily damaged blue hood stuck out. As it turns out, either the entire car, or maybe just the hood, is from the Around-The-World Bellett previously discussed in the book section:
viewtopic.php?f=31&t=772

It looks like the track of the trip is marked on the hood.

That bonnet gives me an idea for mapping out the trip to next year nationals....

I might have to put a map of the east coast of Oz on the hood of the Donkey for us to mark out our dot to dot trip.
We could paint the lines joining the dots as we go. Adding little gold stars for the locations of everyone we pick up along the way.

and i'd say that's just the bonnet (hood) on another car.
look closely.... it's a "long" Bellett bonnet on a "short" bonnet car, and it's been played around with to make it fit.
it does have a 67-68 single headlight front tho, so like 99% of Bellett's nowadays, it's not exactly correct.

mind u.... with how WHITE it is, i thought it was my GT, but alas.... no!!

I might be able to get one of my mates that owes a back scratch to do me a vinyl wrap for my bonnet of an actual map.
Thanks for the offer GT but if he can't I'll just paint mine.

I mean seriously................who's gonna notice the differance on my car?

Hey Stickman,

Here is a JPEG of an Australia Map for your bonnet - let me know how big you want it and I will email the file to you as an EPS so your mate can print it out for you. It will be much higher resolution as it is a vector drawing I have done on the final file - this is just a low res JPEG.

Cheers,
Neil

Hey Davo, Donkey has been as far west as Birdsville too where I participated in the Emu races (seriously good fun till I came off at full sprint) and as far north a Mackay because I felt like going for a drive (was only a 2 day return trip)

Seriously good map, Neil.
Choice idea, Sticky.
My only suggestion is make the placenames a smaller font, 'cause there looks like being a fair few to add in!

Re-think the blue bonnet, You could put it on your shed wall for posterity (once you get a shed wall, sorry  ) and the ocean IS already there!

You've made some epic trips mate. Ah, youth & freedom.....

;) Cheers, Matt.

Hey Matt,

Yeah I can make place names much smaller - and add any place names you want. Just let me know.
I could even put a photo of each Bellett.net member's car approximately where they are situated. I just need photos emailed to me (I don't know whether there will be enough room for all your Belletts Matt ;) )

Neil

It is a wonder Bullitt hasn't bought the bonnet - it's blue after all!
