Hi, was just wondering if anyone out there knows the make of the Wasp Generator and
if anyone still sells brushes etc for them. :ugeek:

I think you may find it's Hitachi, good auto elecics shop should be able to help.

Thanks Geoff.
I knew the alternators were Hitachi but wasnt sure about the generator. :geek:
The Auto electrician didnt have a clue about the make but found one of the brushes had jammed so
hopefully that will be the problem. ;)
Wouldnt mind keeping a set of brushes spare too 8-)
The make should also help things as well :D

Josh,
If your current Auto Elect doesn't have them, try another, brushes are normally an easy fix.

Sorry mate, should of had brain in gear, I read generator and brain said alternator :oops:

I would also make a comment but that would be pointless from someone who knows nothing about electricals so I wont. :roll: :roll: :roll: But you knew that already. And yes the shop is not busy today.

One of the brushes were seriously jammed and the terminal from the brush holder was nearly broken off,
The insides were on the rusty side :cry:
On the plus side the rest wasnt too bad and with some playing around and cleaning is now working Again :D
Still wouldnt mind confirming the make of the generator :ugeek:
