IUA "Max*D" magazine, issue 8.

Post by PR91 »

has hit the dealers today (well, i'm guessing, as mine was in the post).

familiar looking cars and club featured in this issue....!

feature is a nice layout of the ICCA and a brief run down of the club history and what it gets up to these days.
cars included in pics are Dave's (1968GT) GT, Greg's (gtorphanage) GT, Tom's GT, Garry's (bembokabellettbloke) sedan, and Liz's (Leadfoot Liz) Wasp.

get into a dealer and grab a copy before they're all gone!

what dealers do you find them in Brett? Presumably Isuzu trucks.

no, Isuzu Ute dealers. you'd be surprised how many are around too.

believe it or not, Isuzu Trucks Australia (ITA) and Isuzu Ute Australia (IUA) have nothing to do with each other in any way....
both may be controlled in the end by Japan, but while the trucks are all Japanese, the utes are based in Thailand and 99% of that section is controlled there.
2 of the guys that came out to see my Wasp in Sydney in 2010 were from Thailand and involved in the DMax program, while the real big boss that came out was Japan based.
in the end, they just share the name!

Bah, Humbug, Katherine in the NT does not have a D'Max dealer, I will have to wait another 3 days until I get into Darwin!!!
Yeh looks good thanks Brett for posting!!
Caught up with Lindsay and Christione Kahler in Alice Springs, good to catch up with them again.
All good Guys, the Sante Fe towing the van is returning 11.8 L/100 klms so far after 5500 klms on this trip bloopdy good I reckon.
I have spoken to any drivers of the D'Max during the trip and towing, not one has had a complaint or fault with their D'Max's, not a bad recommendation, I am heading that way with my next tow vehicle, thats for sure!!
