Hi Flying.
All Deluxe sedans from '66.5 up to '68?. Why I have a ? after the year is because I don't have information from
'67 to '71. It was interesting to read that the PR20 '71/'72 years did not list it as a part for that model. Including the PR50 Special.
All PR91 GT's. from start of production.
My '69 PR20 never had one. Even though it had a few Deluxe parts fitted and isn't a Deluxe. I bought a shelf from
a wrecking yard off of a Rodeo and using the shelf out of my convertible as a pattern and I modified it to suit.
Maybe someone with a bit more information may be able to fill the gap between '67 and '71.

The reason I ask is that mine has not one fitted I bought mine in 1978 only the 3rd Owner it was as far as I know very original

My 72 sport has one. Obviously not Aust delivered though but i thought at least all GT's had them standard.

Mounts: as far as i recall all Belletts have a tapped hole on the A pillar....... one bracket goes in there (pics)
On the right, a curved bracket runs up under the lower dash area.

At the back there are L shaped brackets underneath that screw into the firewall. Possibly those holes are in all cars too, not sure.

Every PR91 GT that was Aust delivered had one. Guaranteed.
Never seen one in a sedan, even a Deluxe. Doesn't mean pre 69 cars didn't have them tho. I've just never looked
Can also guarantee that 69 Deluxes did not have them tho.

I am wondering if mine was on the cusp and had some PR90 stuff

My Heater was a cable similar to the Choke but labelled Heat and only 1 slide for vent/ recirculation

Hi Flying.
Have been going through all my catalogues and unable to see any heat cable similar to your description.
Which leads me to the following questions.
The "heat" cable. Where does it go to. Which vent.? Most genuine Bellett heater systems have two vents.
The slide lever cable. Where to.?
Have you got a separate switch (toggle type) to operate the blower motor.? Have you got a blower motor.?
This next one will be difficult to answer because your console will have to be removed to see what I'm asking for.
Have you got a large black housing encasing the heater core and blower motor attached to your plenum/air intake
housing which has a vent inside it to allow the air from your grille at the bottom of the windscreen for the air to
enter into the cabin. You probably know what I'm talking about anyway.
On the lower left hand corner of the black housing there should be a Manufacturers label (Diesel Kiki). On the right lower of the label is a eight figure part number with a prefix of 8361- and then four more numbers after. This number
will determine what heater system was installed from manufacture.

Probably a local fitted heater with the cable/control operating the water tap. I installed an Australian heater (after-market but to suit a Bellett) in my new '66.5 Bellett sedan soon after I bought it. There was no fan , just a heater core and a tap. The result was beautiful , especially when travelling long country gravel roads on cold wet nights...! (not having to wear a coat to keep warm and a demisted windscreen were big plus's....)

I too had a aftermarket heater fitted to my first '67 Bellett. Smiths brand. I've still got it. Removed it from when
I wrote the car off. Was going to fit it to my Wasp. Although different under the dash. Reckon with a bit of bush engineering I would get it to fit.
And your right about the cold. Two blankets around me and the missus wasn't enough.

Seems like at this stage you may have a non-genuine heater.
As KJB has indicated that his PR20 never had a fan. Mine didn't either.
Will be interesting to see what is behind the console.

Maybe the later Deluxes were equipped with "factory " fan type heaters ......I had a '69 ? (strip tailight) Deluxe at one stage and I thought it had a Fan /Heater.....maybe I am wrong.....Someone here will know......

All had a heater of sorts. Standard sedans had a blow thru heat exchanger type of arrangement but no fan.
All late deluxe sedans had the same 2 speed fan attached to the exchanger as the GT's with the switch as part of the lower control.

During Lock down i have found some tome to fiddle
I removed the Centre console and then removed the Heat Exchanger which just fed the windscreen and side vents.
I had some heaters in the shed that included the 2 speed fan and dual slide controls
Does anyone have a good rubber that goes between the fan unit and upper vent as mine is very ordinary. It goes from the oval shape into a circle. My guess would be that its in the unobtainable realm

I made mine up by cutting an old biscuit tin (with scissors) , hold in place with a couple of self tappers, and then sealed it with silicon and painted. I then sealed this part to the body with reinforced duct tape after it was bolted in . Works very well. It cannot be see when installed.

I was wondering if the South Australia importer had GT's come in without the factory heater and fitted an accessory type just to keep costs down.
The heat exchanger is the same as my white GT and it's from South Australia. I mentioned before in this post that my first
car I fitted a Smiths' heater not to similar to the above picture and without the box.
I cannot find in all my parts catalogues that exchange unit. But. There is a listing for heater kits for up to 1966 and then from 1967.
The importer imported the vehicles less the heater from factory and as an option to the buyer a heater will be fitted as an accessory. And the buyer does not know that the heater is not the same as the factory unit. Woops.
Like I mentioned. Just wondering.
And if your thinking that the hose that Flying has shown must be an afterthought. Oval to round. ????.
Diesel Kiki had the contract to supply the heaters to Isuzu. Just looking at the diagrams in the parts catalogues shows the early vehicles had a rubber round elbow between the plenum inlet and the heater. Isuzu changed the inlet to oval and Diesel Kiki didn't want to change their tooling so they came up with the oval to round elbow. Which is a part of the vehicle when disturbed splits or fall to bits. I'll try to upload the parts listing to show you what I'm referring to.
