Several new water pumps

Post by Dick »

I was in the possibility of buying some brand new water pumps and gaskets for the G150 G160 engine. Off course I do not need them all: so I wonder if you guys down under are in need for some pumps too. See the pics

Hi Dick,
Would love to buy one for my G160 build if that’s ok.
Won’t be building motor till next year with gasket set you sold me a few years ago, still a bit over half way on my body resto but let me know.
Regards,
Craig

Hello Dick, thanks for thinking of us. I have a couple of pumps, but am looking for a few other parts. Would you have any "Sport" badges? I have recently taken possession of a Sport, but the badges are missing.
Thanks Matt.

Hi Matt, so you found a Sport? Is it a 2 or 4 door?
In Europe we have 5 Sports of which 1 is a 4 door (with 68 front and 69 strip light rear).
Together with Glenn’s and yours makes a total of 7. Or are there more?

Hello Dick, I have purchased the spare Sport Glenn imported from Japan. It is a '72 SOHC 1800 2 door, so really it should have the 1800 Sport badges. Those 1600 ones are better than what I have though. I'm checking Yahoo auctions in case any pop up, but they are probably fairly uncommon.
There is one other Sport here in Australia that I know of, a strip tail light model.
If you are willing to sell these badges, I'd like them.
Thank you,
Matt.

I searched hi and low but don't have that badge i thought i had. I had forgotten there are 3 badges on the car. One on the front grille of a '72 is what i thought i had 'spare'.

Hi Dick

I know of 3 Sports in Australia. All 2 door sedans.
Mine
Matts (my spare car)
and one in Sydney area. I had some pics of it but can't find them. It's a near mint car, a 1600cc I think.

Hello Glenn, the tail light surround is there, just in a box at the minute.
Thanks, Matt.

I found a pic of the third 2 door in Aus. Perhaps this link will work.
Cheers, Matt.

Hi Matt
yes that's the car. I emailed him a couple of years back i think but lost th emails and details. I don't think its actually a Sport model, just a 2 door sedan variant. Nice car though

Hi Dick,
A new spare water pump for my G161 engine would be good (it's the same as the G160 I think???).

Thanks, Barrie.

Hi Barrie,
Do you have a 1600 SOHC engine or a OHV 1600 engine?
I guess it is the OHV which looks like the 1500 and Florian 1600 engines.
In that case these pumps will fit.
