Is there any indication of prices as there was talk of $18K for the GT and $5K for the Wasp.

that was where any interest from local and interstate Bellett'rs dropped off.

Cheers

Chris

Has everyone been waiting for me to become unemployed before advertising their GT's?

Busy afternoon spent catching up with Keith up on the property and checking over his 2 vehicles for sale.
In respect to Keith's privacy and him allowing us to spend so much time looking over the cars, i wont post photos or make any real specific observations except to say both vehicles will need some work and to make your own specific enquiries and mechanical inspections.

Watch for the slight of hand between the smoke and the mirrors....

That Wasp as the front spoiler intact... pretty rare item.

As far as I've been told, it was one of the only parts not available for purchase via Isuzu's parts inventory for some reason, so if you biffed it and your smash repairer ordered new parts (back when you could), that part was not replaced. All it really did was hide the bolts of the front torsion bars anyway, but it's a cool item nevertheless.

When I spoke to Keith a few years ago, he mentioned he had the front bumper for the Wasp, which was an original (ie different to Bellett) front bumper, however he made up those giant ladder racks and often used the car to get monsterously sized items for he and Heather's hobby farm.

The car was restored prior to his purchase and was repainted in the blue you see. The leading area of the tray is flat steel rather than ribbed as it had rusted out and was replaced as simply as possible.

From memory I think it's running buckets and has, of all things, a RWD Mazda 323/RX7 steering wheel, which was a cool wheel but is no Wasp bus rim!

That GT has hubcaps, therefore I like it a lot.

It's a shame that in recent years both Heather and Keith lost the Bellett love to some degree; for much of their marriage they were Bellett owners and all their kids grew up riding around in them, but one day they upgraded in the family car department (understandably) with some modern stuff, and Keith turned his attentions to restoring a old Rover, I think (correct me if I'm wrong), which was the first car he and Heather had when they married or courted or something.

I tried hard to get them out to the Bay to Birdwood Classic/Bellett Natoinals in 2009 but to no avail!

Cheers,

Dave

Cheers,

Dave
