When rolie left australia for a better home than i was prepared to give him he was replaced with another complete sedan a 66/67 sedan. This little girl is a 59000mile job has no cracks in the origanal dash plastic on the rear doors a few dents from the car park but too good for what my intensions were so it got a pair of bucket seats as it's seats were in need of love and a set of fat standard rims with hub caps and dress rims about all the mods this one will get. It gets a weekly run to town for a school/mail run and is as proud as punch.
This left me still without a race car after a phone conversation with forum member fast64s [his race car was at classic jap day] i told him i needed to find another car he then told me he had bought one for parts but it was ruuuff, purfect i will take it,a little wheelin and dealin he had the bits to complete his gt. I had a ruuuff teardrop delux with body deadner up to the door handles she was beautiful [only stickman would luv it ]. Fast64s was good enough to leave it set up for me to use while i build it so basicly it is still in race form so i get to use/race it while i transfer my bits into it.
I spent a week getting the body deadner off waiting to find big rust holes but instead found lots of welded bits where rust had once been bonus. Since early this year it's lived between my place and the panel shop as i am getting the job done on the cheap. When its not being worked on it comes home to get bits done. Today i got some happy snaps in the base coat it's the same camry sky blue that patches is going to be as the paint shop wants to use his brand on patches so the race car got the paint that was for patches. This car is going to be in a gtr theme so the bonnet in the photo will not be used however it is a lightend bonnet the blackouts will be done next week. The wheels will be silver powdercoated. The last photo it's coverd in bog dust.
below are a couple of photo's of beeethoven [roll over beethoven  ]

Thats great guys. At least you have another project to occupy yourselves on those cold long winter night that get below 20 degrees C!

Keep posting the pics. We all love to follow the story.

Damn! I didn't get to see the 'beautiful' paint job before you re-painted it.

Greg,
Did those wheels come from Woodburn NSW?

They look familiar to me?
Dave.

They are nissan wheels. I don't know a lot of history on the car? I saved it from being stripped for parts. But most of this car will end up in a gt [not mine]. If you are thinking of the bloke in woodburn no those cars are still there to my knowledge. I droped in and seen him not that long ago.

Wow Greg. That's a great paint job for one that was slow and cheap.
Looks like that temporary bonnet was lightweight as well with those random air vents.
Maybe the Bellett it was on needed some corrosion inhibitor running thru its radiator!

On a more quirky note, Lookout for some "PR90" plates destined for my car soon, same style as
IGTourer's.

Cheers,
Lewis

Just noticed the comment about the wheels.
Bella has a set just like them, only polished and painted.

One of the Finnish cars also has a set all silver.

Cheers
Rob
