Having meet in Sweden sounds a bit stretch (after all, it is Finnish Isuzu owners' club ) but there's places like Haparanda / Tornio in which meet could be held... that's half-Sweden-half-Finland.
However next year meet has been decided to be in Tampere region, so it won't happen soon.

I think you would be welcome to join us in our summer meets, if you can just find time for a road trip to Finland.

First GTs came 1968 (or perhaps very late 1967), so GTs started rather late. most likely importer thought that the model was too expensive to have a real sales here.

No factory Type R cars came, but the importer converted most of their national champioship GT rally cars here to R-spec (Group 2, tuned to have around 150hp) as soon as the parts came available from the factory, so technically speaking, Finland has LHD 6 Type R's. Most likely only ones in the world. (Yes, it is a bit grey area to call them as real GT Type R, but sort of anyways. )
