Re: The Rumour Mill....lost sedans.

Post by Glenn »

Has anybody ever seen 2 of my sedans around?

I built a silver grey metallic '65 with Gemini 1600/5speed back in the 70's with full Gemini interior.

also built a blue '66 sedan with 1800 DOHC with sidedraft SU's (not Jap SU's). Was sold a long time ago to Bob Blackwell but passed on from there to unknown?

Both probably one of the first Bellett's to have these engine transplants.

Gricey might know about the 1800 sedan as he ended up with a lot of the Blackwell gear.

glenn i saw your grey gemini engined one on ebay a few years ago, but don't know if it sold or who bought it if it did.
it was located on a farm around the Donald-ish area in country Vic if memory serves correct.
last i heard of your blue dohc sedan was that bob and zena's daughter was running around in it up there way, but again, years ago.
hope this helps.

Thanks Brett. I had heard about one being up in the west of the state. The DOHC though i think was passed on later by Bob when they got out of Belletts but no idea who to. I spent a lot of money on that engine, but beleive Bob had some problems with it and fitted another DOHC.

I put twin SU's on it from an XU1 Torana but guess they got swapped onto the other motor he used.
