OK Folks, it's ALMOST done. I just need Two more pics - and I have some suggestions (which would give us a nice mix of different models, owners etc). From the pics I saw of the Nationals: Either/and/or the Florian / The red convertible / the Thompson Bellett (in that unusual papaw colour) More than happy to look at others though if I can't get those.....

[email protected]

You can take a look at what I have already at this page:

http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o262 ... tt%202011/

The thumbnails on this page will enlarge, but the large versions are still small and low resolution. Rest assured, the big versions that are already uploaded to the publishing site will print very nicely. Also, The pics here aren't in the order they will appear in the calendar

Cheers, Vic

OK it’s now complete and ready to be purchased and printed!!. Thanks to everyone who sent such great pictures; Brett, Rod, Greg, Ken, Gerry, Dave, Chris and Gary. I hope that you’re happy with the captions I have used and the occasional adjustment to the pictures (whatever happened to Brett’s truck?)

Here is the link to the small versions of the final pictures used:
http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o262 ... tt%202011/

Here is a link to the page where the calendar can be purchased:
http://www.lulu.com/product/calendar/is ... 1/13575443

Next we need to organise the ordering. As I explained earlier, the publisher (Lulu) is a print-on-demand publisher. This means they print only as and when calendars are ordered. Any number from 1 to 100 (or more) can be ordered, and any number of orders can be lodged. The calendar remains available until I withdraw it from sale.

As I said initially, I am happy to purchase a bulk order and then forward them on. As you can see the basic price is $US12.50 each – however this drops to $10 each when 5 or more are purchased in one order. What this means is that with shipping we can get them to Australia for about $13 each (because shipping is also cheaper in bulk). However, shipping them on in Australia adds cost. So, this is what you can expect to pay, shipped from Lulu to Me to You:

1 calendar = $20.50
2 calendars = $33.50
3 calendars= $50.70

If you want 5 or more, we will arrange a separate order for you, and have it shipped direct to you from the publisher – this will save you money over getting them from me. What if you want 4? Then go for 5, because the direct shipping will be a couple of bucks cheaper than me sending you 4, plus you will get the extra calendar. If you only want a couple, but have a mate who lives nearby who might also want some, think about combining your orders and having them shipped direct to one of you.

As you can see, it’s a bit involved in arranging the best price and quickest delivery for you, but don’t worry, I know the ins and outs. So for a start, if you want one or more calendars, please email me with your name, address and the quantity you want. I will organise it with you from there. And ask any questions you like. Again, my email is:

[email protected]

PS if you want to, you are welcome to buy calendars direct from Lulu without going through me at all.

Cheers, Vic

Hi folks,

Just a reminder that if you want to get the calendar in time for the new year, you need to order it soon or be prepared to pay extra for fast shipping. The publisher is quoting up to 4 weeks delivery to Australia by regular mail. Almost twice as much by FedEx which will get it here within a week

Those who have already contacted me need not worry - I have already placed an order - with a few spares. I have also placed a bulk order to be delivered direct to the South Aussies.

It's not too late yet but I'd suggest you act soon.

Cheers, Vic

Thanks Gerry,

My order has arrived to so I will be contacting all those purchasing through me very shortly. I am a little disappointed with the way they have cropped some of the pics, and for some reason the paper isn't as thick as with the Hillman ones, but it still looks good.

If we do it again for 2012, we'll start earlier; that will allow me to get a proof copy done first to ensure it's as I like it.

Lulu have obviously started distributing their printing operations outside of the USA. The Hillman calendar earlier this year was printed in the US, but the Bellett one was done in France. I think it must be to do with postage costs - The Bellett calendars were half the postage cost of the Hillman ones.

Re: Calendar anyone? - Spares 4 Sale

Post by lemansvk »

OK, I bought 15 calendars in my bulk order, 10 of which have gone to their new owners.

One for me means that means I have 4 spares. So if you want one of them, let me know - still plenty of time to get it before Christmas. Contact me at [email protected]
